We stayed at this hotel for the first time about ten years ago, and it made an excellent impression; it was closer to four stars. This time we were a little disappointed - a solid C according to the stars.
Excellent reception, in the corridors there are coolers with hot and cold water (the water is so hot that you can brew porridge or noodles without any problems). The room felt cool, but the thermostat worked perfectly - as soon as the temperature was raised, it became noticeably warmer. Good breakfast buffet. There is an elevator.
There is one minus, but it is noticeable for us: cleanliness. Cleaning every day, fresh linen, no complaints about that. When we moved into the room, there were stains on the carpet, grimy phone buttons, questionable bedspreads, and a refrigerator with yellow stains inside, so we decided not to use it. It’s the same with the bathroom - everything is superficially clean, but it’s better not to look at the shower stall and not to touch anything except the shower again.
The location of the hotel is excellent - the Upper Park is a stone's throw away, behind the hotel is the Colonist Park, which you should never miss!

This hotel has quite a nice location - just opposite Peterhof park and gardens. This is a good place for finding any kind of transport in order to travel to the city centre or other places of St. Petersburg area.
The rooms are nicely decorated, spasious, clean, but it is possible to see that the building of the hotel is not of a good quality and it started to be worning out, though it still holds itself.
About food. If you want to have a nice meal, this is definietely not the right place to choose. And in the whole Peterhof, unfortunately, it is not so easy to find a good restaurant with delicious food. So if you have such a chance, then it is advised to drive closer to city centre. If you compare the breakfast at this hotel with the interantional standard, especially scandinavian one, then it will be very dissapointing for you, though maybe it is ok for average Russian quality.
This place does not have any spa, or other intertainment (like the hotel next door), but the prices are still high. Well, if you don't care about your money, this is an ok place in the heart of Peterhof. But it is sure many much better places in this area.

We were on an excursion with MSC Cruises, we ate lunch here.
Very nice food we had Russian salad, borscht, stroganoff and then followed by pastries and vodka. The vodka was very strong.
The restaurant was very clean and the staff were very helpful, with good English.

The hotel has fallen down a lot. The service in the restaurant is terrible.
1) When we entered, the waiter noticed after about 10 minutes.
2) The choice of food, in principle, has become small, and for those who do not eat meat, even less. There were about 2 dishes to choose from (fish)
3) The food, in principle, is not particularly tasty, but for the price, it’s disgusting.
Now about breakfast:
We didn't pay for breakfast right away, but decided to stop by. One day we were told 350 rubles. In principle, for 350 rubles, breakfast is normal, but today, just out of nowhere, we were now told 800 rubles per person. They just wanted it and it’s already 800 rubles. That is, everything is already bad, but they decided to break through the second bottom.
The result, if you want to eat in hotels, I categorically do not recommend it.
now about the hotel:
The service is basically normal, quite cultural, but against the backdrop of the restaurant, a very negative attitude has already formed. An ordinary hotel, with some Soviet design. The furniture is clearly already old. Of the little things, the cabinets do not have closers. A very gray and boring hotel, without anything in principle. But I don’t think it justifies its price in any way.

The hotel is very conveniently located right opposite of the main entrance of the upper Park by Peterhof palace. The rooms are clean and well equipped (including massage shower cabins, smth pretty fancy for a Russian hotel). The only thing that's a total killjoy is the personnel. Most of them seem to be local kids, nice but not too professional. But some, as Katja, the kitchen administrator, are plain rude and seem to be bothered by virtually anything. I know it takes a while to overcome the soviet client-is-always-wrong style, but c'mon, some things are a bit over the top here. maybe if you come here as an individual/couple it will be ok, but if you want to organize a business meeting like we did, I'd rather advise you against this place to avoid the trouble of dealing with the people who are not ready to communicate with their customers.

This was not a very good show and we paid $49 each; very disappointing. The seats we originally on the floor level and we could not see very well so at intermission we asked for better seats. They gave us all they had and we could see but it was way at the top. Nice theatre and props and clothing but not very good.

Cozy hotel in a picturesque location. Excellent room (we ordered a junior suite), delicious breakfast. The only hotel in Peterhof where possible accommodation with my little dog. We stayed here only 2 days and were delighted with the friendly staff and the quality of the services provided. Near the hotel there is a pond and park, where my Spitz enjoyed the pleasure.
If we arrive again, be sure to stay at this hotel))

Standard 3 stars hotel, clean and new. Though it says that guests can enjoy the business lunch from 12, we could do it only after 13:30. The place is right a cross the Pitegof fountains, and buss stations to the center. Next to it there is a parks with lakes and ducks, great for kids. The Wifi disconnects sometimes. In overall not a bad place to stay if you r mostly out side.

Samson is located across the road from the main entrance to Peterhof Palace which is the main attraction in this town. Behind the hotel there is a huge lake surrounded by meadows where you can walk for hours. The hotel itself is a decent 3-star place with small rooms and good restaurant. The curtains protect the room from the light during "white nights" in summer, which is very important. Aircon is functioning well and the bathroom is alright. There were stains on bed covers which was actually the only negative thing that we recollect. Reception personnel are all polite and helpful.
