The hotel is just a few blocks from the central park and cathedral, very simply furnished, a bit worn around the edges, but quite clean. The "typical breakfast" (eggs, red beans and rice, fried plantain, juice, coffee--included) was delicious, one of the best I had during my two weeks in Nicaragua. While Jinotega is the jewel of the northern highlands; Hotel Kiuras (means waterfall) is the jewell of Jinotaga. On the plus side, the location was good and the price was decent. Not sure about the restaurant since it didn't seem to be open when I was there. On the negative- while it is hardly the hotels fault the neighbours seem to be the home base for some sort of religious group so my Sunday afternoon was rather noisy... More
