It's not the Ritz but what it's meant to be, a quiet relaxing hotel. Food good, service excellent. Yes the rooms may need updating a little but cosy and warm. Forget the negative reviews and give this place a chance

Beer. OK but needs more choice
Room. Clean/warm/plenty of hot water. Could do with doing something about WIFI reception in rooms.
But over all excellent visit would definitely return
