Panoramic suite - best of the best
Great location and view. The hotel is well designed, allowing you to have amazing views in different points. Staff is super nice and welcoming! In the summer you can rent kayaks and other water sports. Great escape to relax in family. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful spa
Great value for a spa of this quality. Beautiful facilities and location just next to the Douro River. Easy parking. Interesting architecture with second “funicular elevator” to upper room we stayed in. Front desk was very slightly disorganized and check in was delayed 40 minutes beyond scheduled time, but management sent a nice bottle of sparkling wine to atone. Lourenco the tour activities manager was fantastic, patient and helpful. The couples massage was to die for—especially after jet lag. Parking was easy. Do note that distance to the major wineries is no closer time wise from this hotel than from Porto, so this is not the place to stay if touring wineries is the major goal. We did have a private driver take us to two wonderful wineries. The guide was excellent and it was all arranged by Lorenco. It was too cold to swim outdoors but the indoor pool was wonderful. It is a first rate spa. Breakfast was excellent too.…

Garden terrace room is spectacular
To celebrate our anniversary we splurged on the best room in this hotel. It has a wonderful view of the Douro river and a huge indoor and outdoor space. Service was very good at the main desk and reception. It is an easy 1 hour drive into downtown Porto.

Five star hotel on the Duoro River, great Breakfast, wonderful spa Restaurant has very good food, reasonable priced wine Calm and peaceful, friendly staff Small town city center is good and has a couple of reasonable restaurants. Rooms have beautiful views

Hello, Do you have bicycles available on the property for rent?
I recently stayed at this hotel, but did not see any offers of bicycle rentals. I'm sure if you contacted the hotel directly via email at reservations @ douro41 . com, they will be happy to address. Have a wonderful stay! This hotel is truly a gem!

How far is it from the airport and are there restaurants nearby?
Hi, it's about 60km from Oporto's airport. I'm afraid there are no restaurants around as it is isolated from everything, except the river of course. Nearest city is about 13km away. This place is ideal if you're looking to rest in a peaceful place. The hotel's restaurant is pretty good!
