We have been to a few hostels in the Archipelago, and this is by far the worst. Sloppy service, charm-less barracks to stay in, a sauna that is situated in the wrong place for swimming (and also quite small), a long walk from the boat when you arrive and the surroundings are not terribly exciting. It is also way too...

This is definitely a nice destination. There is plenty to do at Arholma Nord so they can cater to every need, from relaxing couples to advantageous kids. The restaurant serves decent food, the meat from the grill is not top notch but the accessories are nice so all in all you get what you pay for.

A small bed and breakfast in the outskirts of the Stockholm archipelago. Beautiful and peaceful environment. Friendly staff. I can recommend a visit to Arholma battery museum, an old costal artillery station from the days of the cold war.

The hostel is situated by a narrow little bay at the north end of Arholma. Outside the inlet there is a couple of small low islands, then there is the open sea. There are paths leading from the hostel up to a viewpoint, where there is a view towards Åland, but also towards the mainland. Other paths lead to nice...

First the positives: this is a very beautiful place. A spell in the sauna by the lake followed by a dip in the Baltic to cool down is quintessential Scandinavia (or Finland, if we should be honest). The view is absolutely fantastic. Also, the tour around the now decommissioned coastal artillery battery is a chilling reminder to anyone that this...

“1-2 rooms have an outstanding view over the Baltic. If the place is empty-ish, ask in reception if they are free. The downside is that anyone walking to/from the beach and the sauna can look straight into your room!”
