The starter with scallops was very good. The scallops were perfectly prepared. As the entrée we had the cod and the roast beef. Both were prepared very well. The fish very light and the the beef juicy. The service was fast and very friendly.
There are only 4 rooms here. Ours was well-appointed with luggage racks, a desk, a bench, nightstands, a floor lamp, dim-able spotlights over the bed, a full length mirror. Bathroom has good space for toiletries, heated towel bar. However, there is a tired feel about the room though we were reasonably comfortable. We dined outdoors here since it was a lovely summer evening in June. The food was beautifully presented. The portions seemed small but we were satisfied with a shared starter and a main each. I had fish with a lovely crust on a bed of cucumbers and roasted radishes that were impressive (since I'm not a radish fan) and dollops of crème fraiche. Spouse has a beautiful looking beef on carrots, and assorted veg with the same dollops of cream. He is very pleased too. Dessert was unnecessary. This was an expensive meal even though we skipped the alcohol.…
If you visit Fiskars, please have a great lunch or dinner in Restaurant Wärdhus. The staff is very polite, excellent food and great atmosphere. I recommend to order white fish. Wärdhus is said to be originally the first pub in Finland.
We took advantage of the Mini Break (Monday-Saturday): accommodation in a double room with breakfast + a three-course dinner from our à la carte menu for just €120 per person per night! Great value. The accommodation was clean and spacious. The dinner and breakfast first class. Staff also very friendly and helpful.
I have visited this Restaurant many times and it has never been a disappointment. Staff is always friendly and explains everything. Food is amazing! Hotel is also cozy, Rooms are simple and beautiful. I remember a few years ago when there (Restaurant) was a very noisy group of young men and we had problems to hear each other. The staff arranged a dinner in our hotel room! They brought everything to our room and we had a great time! I never forget that!
Absolutely perfect dinner with seasonal and local produce. It is seldom that the main course can live up to promise of the starter but here it most certainly did. All flavors worker well together and every course had their own little twist that raised them beyond the ordinary. The prices were also reasonable. The hotel was okay and breakfast was nice.
Friendly and lovely place in the heart of Fiskars. Food were excellent and the restaurant had good selection of local beers. The meet and the desserts were really tasty and the personnel was exceptionally friendly.
Very nice hotel to relax and have some private time with my wife. Very good food at the restaurant, especially the deserts were great. Good simple breakfast. The only minus was temperature at the room, believe or not, very hot in Finland. And the best of all was superfriendly staff.
We went for one, wonderfully romantic night. We booked a sauna and had champagne and in the morning woke up to an amazing, personal breakfast spread. The staff was extremely friendly and quick to help us with anything we needed. We were surprised and really impressed by the level of customer service-- perhaps the best in Finland!
The staff were wonderful from arrival and even only 24 hours in town we felt like we were apart of the village. The dinner was our best meal in Finland and we booked in for a private sauna after dinner complete with fire candle and drinks - both amazing surprises for our honeymoon. The rooms are super comfortable with great views of the river - The village is wonderful and so magical in winter with the snow- I'm still dreaming of the breakfasts
