The three of us stayed here for one night in a private cottage. It was absolute bliss after a long hike. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The spa area was also stunning and the service was impeccable. Drinks were brought...More
For $24 per person in a private room (literally just a bed in a room) a backpacker woud expect some glamour for your money. Not so here, one bathroom (a thin wall away from our room) to share between all the guests, a bland dinner...More

Really enjoyed my stay at the Hostal, there were very well priced drinks and the food was incredible!!!

Beautifully finished rooms with warm duvets and smart bathroom (shared). There is no wifi and everyone eats together at long tables which makes this a very sociable space, although the quiet area by the wood burning stove was lovely for reading
We spent a night coming from Sigchos on our way to Quilotoa. We arrived quite early and enjoyed the free coffee and tea at the fireplace as well as the small but very nice spa with jacuzzi, sauna and steam bath - what a treat...More

We took a 5 dollar taxi from latacunga direct to the markets of Saquisili. There is several plazas all part of a larger market. Taxi for 5 bucks from Hotel Central in Latacunga straight to market in 15 mins, left at 8am. Walked around for a 1.5 hours and even went to the animal market which requires a 25 centavo pp riDE in a camioneta. From Saquisili, ask the locals, and they will point you to where the buses to Sigchos leave. (Plaza Rocafuerte) the buses leave every 30 mins to Sigvhos direct. Cost us 2 dollars each. Took 2 hours. Grabbed the 10 am bus and arrived in Sigchos at noon. Grabbed an almuerzo lunch and asked the locals the route to Isinlivi and headed out. Left at 12.30pm and walked 3.5 hours from Sigchos to Isinlivi, arrived at 4pm and stayed at Cristobal hostel, but there is also Lulu Llama. Only 2 in town. Super easy and amazing day. DO the Saquisili market first thing, bus to Sigchos, walk/hike to Isinlivi. Too easy
