Make sure you negotiate the price as I found some guests paying a different amount. The location is far from the center but is still within walking distance. It is a little expensive for the type of accommodation, buts that's all of Bacalar. Lockers are made from wood, (not safe). Other than that, the garden looks beautiful, and the jetty...

Bacalar is absolutely beautiful, and this hostel is in a really great location. The jetty, with hammocks and loungers, is the perfect place to relax, both day and night. I found the staff here to be friendly, and the facilities were basic but clean and functional. The breakfast was great. Unfortunately, during our first few days money was stolen from...

I have spend two nights in dormitorie, really clean with mosquitieras. They equipped with fridge, kitchen and water point. The surroundings are picturesques, they own part of a beach where you can also rent kayaks, or other stuff. In the price (a little big) there is breakfast included which totally compensate it (check photo). There were not too much toilets...

The hostel has the most amazing view right in front of the dormitory but apart from that I was not impressed. It is very expensive for a bed in a dorm. And the toilets are so dirty at all time. And there is only ONE shower for a lot of guests both in the dormitory and the camping ground.

I stayed here for two nights and had a hard time leaving. The hostel is situated on the lake with a private dock with plenty of chairs for lounging. The staff, including two grown parrots and a baby one, was extremely kind and helpful! The dorms are equipped with plenty of fans, a water cooler and comfortable beds with bugs...

Amazing atmosphere, friendly stuff, perfect location and plenty of activity choices: kayak, canoeing, sailing trips and lessons. Direct access to the lagoon, 10 mins walk from any services might needed. Good choice of different accommodations, tent/sharing rooms/private rooms available

We spent two nights in Bacalar. The included breakfast in the morning was fantastic, I'd even say it was the best I've had whilst travelling in Central America. The dock was beautiful and everything is kept immaculately clean. We went on the sailing boat tour around the lake. Definitely worth doing, we barely speak Spanish, but even with a slight...

This hostel is a hidden gem- very well priced for the scenery, facilities and breakfast included. The chill out zone is Superb with hanging hammocks over the blue lagoon. It's definitely a place to watch the world go by.

Throughout my month-long backpacking trip in Mexico, I was searching for a spot to just relax and recharge . I finally found that at Magic Bacalar. The place is very quiet, especially down in the lake cabana. Sleeping with the sounds of the lagoon and beach was magical. The garden setting was also fantastic, and the provided breakfast was phenomenal....

We met up with new friends at this hostel and it was incredible. We stayed in the cabin which I recommend right on the water. Waking up to the crystal clear waters and incredible breakfast the hostel had was a morning to remember. You MUST stay here! It's so incredible and the people you meet are so unique and nice....
