Dippersmore is very old, very beautiful, and very comfortable. It is also the only B&B where the English weather cannot ruin your trip: you could spend a week simply exploring this fascinating manor-house and its dazzling contents. Books, stunning antiques, paintings and great chunks of history are scattered before the enthralled visitor at every turn. The building dates back to...

Stunning manor house and Hexie and Amanda made us feel like family guests. We had a lovely large bedroom, cosy and warm. Breakfast was excellent sitting in the large Dining Room with the log burning stove alight. Amanda was very helpful recommending local places to visit and would certainly recommend Kilpeck church and Cwmyoy (the crooked church) as well as...

What a beautiful and idlic 14th century manor with wonderful views across herefordshire. The rooms are extremely comfortable, large, and quante with a range of Victorian furniture. Why stay in a boring modem b&b's and hotel when you can stay somewhere with so much history and character. There is a local country pub about 1 mile away which was nice...

The approach to this very old house is most impressive, the house itself stands on high ground with exceptionally good views over the surrounding countryside. The publicity for the B&B emphasises that it is 'Luxury Accommodation'. We were met by the owner Hexie Millais who provided us with tea and cake in the guest lounge. Our bedroom was of good...

It is always a delight to stay at Dippersmoor B & B where I have been lucky enough to find myself in the area, therefore enjoyed my stays many times. The Millais family could not be more hospitable, cooking the most superb breakfasts, everything homemade that can be homemade is including bread, and yogurts. Even raspberries are freshly picked! Cooked...

The setting is perfect - amazing views over the countryside and nothing but the birdsong in your ears. The hosts, Amanda and Hexie were great, not too obtrusive but around if needed and very accommodating. The breakfast was wonderful, the low beams cleverly hung with a tassel so as not to bang heads, and the history of the home and...

A wonderful old house set in a lovely part of the country. Everthing about our brief stay there was just delightful. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. A perfect little gem of a place. Flawless in fact.

This b&b certainly isn't cheap, is quite isolated, and doesn't have many modern facilities. But if you are interested in old houses with lots of character, an interesting garden, and an area of unspoilt English countryside, woods and farmland, then it's really excellent. Hearty traditional breakfasts with the pheasants calling in the fields outside and the sparrows and chaffinches flitting...

We had a wonderful couple of nights at Dippersmoor whilst in the area for a wedding this weekend. Amanda and Hexie were the perfect hosts, the right mixture of friendliness and help, whilst also leaving us to our weekend un-disturbed. The house is quirky and interesting, steeped in history but bathed in the luxury that made it comfortable. The views...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dippersmoor Manor is a wonderful listed 16th century family run house. Hexie and Amanda have lovingly restored the property over many years. They have been running the house as a luxury B & B for over seven years and take huge pride in looking after their guests with all the care and attention you would expect. The house itself is steeped in history and provides every amenity. We are in the heart of the superb walking and cycling country of The Marches and Offa's Dyke, and there are many historic castles, National Trust properties, gardens and churches to visit in the area. ... more   less
