The bad news - this company is out of business. The good news - there's a better one. After trying to make a reservation for a tour and having the email bounce, we looked for an alternative. There is a local company, founded and run by Mayans, that runs tours in the part of the reserve that is protected. We...

This is an update review. Unfortunately Cesiak is closed. While some locals indicated it was closed for rennovation, others notified me that it went completely out of business. Such a shame! You can still catch some boat tours from others who have set them up just inside the biosphere.

The lodge is currently closed for maintenance - the rating is based on the fact the lodge is closed and not on the actual facilities. The road was in good condition but when we asked about availability we were told they were closed for Maintenance.

We spent almost 3 weeks on the Yucatan peninsula and this was our final stay. We'd expected it to be more basic and closer to nature but we also found it rather dysfunctional. We arrived late afternoon and no-one told us that dinner was only available until 7.30. We got to the dining room at 7.35 and there was no...

You aren't paying for the accommodation here.. You are paying for a fantastic location in a nature reserve. The accommodation is basic. A wooden platform with a thatch roof and a tent structure in between. In July no aircon makes that very hot. You can't really have aircon with Eco but at least facing the tent door towards the sea...

Overall it is not a bad place, but value for money is not very good. Including tax we paid more than 100 Dollars a night. We were aware that we have to share a bathroom, but they just have one toilet for women and one for men. Lucky us it was not busy. We had Continental Breakfast includet which was...

This is a great spot between the ocean and the lagoon. The bar and terraces have views to die for in either direction. We stayed on a very windy night. The bar and restaurant close by 7.15 . The cabanas/ tents are great but the candle lamps dont cast much light and if you go back to your tent after...

With my wife we gave each other the visit to Sian Ka'an as a Christmas present. We rented a Jeep and drove early mornig to the park. We did not have any plans just wanted to be in nature. We passed by this visitors center and they had a tour with two other guys just going out. We joined and...

I didn't sleep here but I passed and spent many hours there. Cesiak is magnificent! The view from the top is incredible: there is the lagoon on one side, and the ocean on the other. You can see that narrow strip of land which goes from Tulum to Punta Allen. I suggest everyone to come here even only for few...

First the good: the beach and surrounding area is nearly deserted so you'll have a lot of space to yourself. There are palapas and chairs on the beach so you have shelter from the sun. There is wifi and electric outlets near the front desk. There are a few flush toilets available (the rest are "dry" toilets). The front desk...

“There are two cabins located on the left hand side, they are a little sheltered by the wind, but that means that you can get hot at night. They also have a larger house on site which has things like its own bathroom and a few different beds for larger groups.”

“All of the tent cabins are great. We had cabin 9 which has an ocean view but it's behind the trees (which probably recently grew up in front of it) They blocked some of the wind at night which was actually a good thing. The rooms do have extra blankets in them - they really have thought of everything! We brought camping headlights with us to navigate the jungle paths at night and to read and it worked out great!”
