Where do I even begin? This place was an absolute dream. We spent 5 days at the first location which was upstairs at the beach house near Rincon. The inside was cozy and the outside was breathtaking. There was a big deck to lay out on, and a gorgeous view of the ocean- which comes practically right up to the...

My husband and I just visited Maravilla Guesthouse: we stayed at the cottage. What a wonderful experience we had! Margo and Mark are absolutely amazing hosts and Margo's food was beyond delicious! As vegans, eating out, especially while on vacation, is always an issue. Margo made some amazing 5 course dinners for us during our stay, and provided us with...

We were scheduled to spend our first 2 days on the mountain and 2 on the beach, but when we landed there was quite a lot of rain and we would not be getting there till dark. So our hosts made special arrangements, even though the beach house was not ready, to get it ready and have us stay on...

My husband and I stayed at Maravilla (split time 3 days beach house and 4 days mountain cabin) for our honeymoon in April. It was wonderful!! I am vegan, gluten free and my husband is an omnivour- we ate gluten free and vegan with one raw day for fun and we both loved the food. We felt so full that...

My husband and I stayed at Maravilla for the 4th of July weekend. I just don't want to repeat what everyone says... I'll just say its true. A little bit extra: flowers and designer toiletries in the bathroom... an awesome collection of movies, flowers in the living room and kitchen, dish washing soap in an oil cruet, and... everything squeaky-clean....

My wife and I are 100% plant based and we eat mostly a raw diet. Going on vacation can sometimes be difficult trying to find a place to eat. Many places will try to fix you something if you ask, but I did not want to deal with any of this for this trip. We found Maravilla through the website...

Maravilla is a place out of the way. This is a good thing. It takes a little time to get there, but once you're there, you may not want to leave. If you arrive late in the day, as we did, the golden afternoon light will usher you up a winding drive lined with orange trees, to the top of...

Stayed here for just two nights, on a birding trip. We're vegetarian, and so eating vegan food was a pleasure to us, especially as PR is very carnivorous. Margo left us food in the fridge for two breakfasts, (home-made quiche, buns and bread, also milk) and by buying a few more things in a shop down the road we managed...

We wanted a different getaway to celebrate New Year, far from the city noise and crowded parties. We imagined a place were we could go camping in the mountains, wake up surrounded by nature, eat well, and be at ease. After looking at different options over the internet, we decided to try Maravilla Mountain. Joking around, we did a google...

We were lucky enough to stay at both the mountain and ocean locations. When we walked into the ocean house for the first time, we were delighted to see (and hear) the ocean RIGHT outside. There are chairs, a hammock and small table on the balcony and we spent most of our time there. The roar and murmur of the...

“No need to bring anything fancy to wear - keep it simple and comfortable. If you plan on seeing the waterfalls on location make sure you bring a very good pair of water sandals and long or 3/4 length pants and athletic top. Bring or buy your own alcohol save money and take advantage of the onsite blenders to make creative drinks. Air conditioning could have been better - it did get warm there.”

“We loved the cottage where we stayed but also fell in love with the little cabin when we saw it (no electricity). However, I'm extremely allergic and it was very humid so I'm glad I didn't go that far to escape.”
