Beautiful conversion of an original Donaghadee building. The views across the harbour to the lighthouse are spectacular. We enjoyed a long morning swim in the bay with many of the locals who take their open water swimming very seriously. We were given a warm welcome and breakfast was perfect. Comfortable and immaculately decorated bedroom.

This was our second time staying at 1 Shore Street and we were not disappointed with the level of cleanliness service and ease of check in/out. We had a fabulous time again in Donaghadee. We were in room 4 this time, beautiful finish to the room Uber clean with separate shower room and a gorgeous king size bed with high quality sheets. The standard of service and high quality that the owners have bestowed on this bespoke Guesthouse makes it very difficult to compare to other places, it is unique and an elegant experience to enjoy. 5 stars

We decided to book a short getaway to Donaghadee having never visited before and came across this beautiful boutique hotel online. Stayed in the sea view doom with bath and it was absolutely stunning. So clean, beautiful interior design, very light and airy. The bed is so big and comfortable, we had a great sleep. We met Karen and John and they were absolutely wonderful people. They have thought of everything you would need. The breakfast room is available to sit and chat in which we did one evening with a few of the other guests. Such a great atmosphere. Breakfast was beautiful and staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. I really couldn't fault it.

First visit for an important family birthday so it was important to me that we were comfortable and refreshed. This boutique hotel impressed from the very start. We chose the contactless entry and were sent our own code for entry. Our room was Number 4. It was compact but had everything we needed. The air con/heating system worked perfectly. The shower was cleverly designed. The shower products were lovely. The sleep quality was excellent. The entire hotel was wonderfully clean. We didn't get much of a chance to use the excellent dining room facility other than breakfast but it is a great idea. I was fortunate to grab a chat with the owners Karen and John and hear a bit about their venture into hospitality. Lovely people. Breakfast was superb with very high quality ingredients served by warm, friendly staff. It was made all the more enjoyable for bumping into an old friend. After breakfast we enjoyed a walk along the sea-front to the lighthouse on the pier. If you follow that coastal path it brings you to a lovely large common. The opposite walk towards Bangor is equally enjoyable. Donaghadee seems to be undergoing a very positive upgrade at present and this hotel is a great addition to the town. It will be our go to on all future visits. Very highly recommended.

Well looked after from arrival to departure. Lovely rooms and lovely atmosphere in the breakfast room. Stunning views and near all good bars and restaurants. Breakfast was lovely and the fire was lit in the room in the evening.
