We stayed in the aurora igloo..very nice experience. Confortable, warm and emotional accomodation. Surrounded and immersed in the silence we lived a very relaxing experience. Wide selection of breakfast and a good self service dinner (around 24Euros for person, half price for children). Very kind staff. Highly recommended
We chose the place because of its central location in the very heart of the Pyhätunturi cross country ski track network. It certainly was a good spot we skied from 15 to 40 km per day and still it was easy to choose daily routes so that one did not get bored for any part. The tracks also started some 100 meters from our cabin. The cabin as such was nothing fancy, but clean and functionable. It was also nice that the sauna was of an "immediately warm" model: it was nice that one did not need to wait too much after the skiing to get it warm. The only negative thing was that the air source heat pump was a bit noisy. Due to Covid 19 se did not use the services very much (The restaurant of theirs was closed, so the breakfast was of "fetch a three day package from reception" and ordered dinners directly from the restaurants of Pyhä - which is some 6 km away), but they arranged everything that we needed in a helpful and friendly way. I would say that the price was relative to the experience a real bargain!…
A perfect place to get a way. Good accommodation, good food and nice friendly people. It is a quite park and has all facilities you need. Including a sauna and firewood for a bit of extra warmth. It is remote but not to remote.
I recently stayed for a few nights as part of a organised trip . When it was time to leave to the airport, I booked to go on the ski bus but they forgot to pick me up - Heli, at reception called the driver and then drove me personally to the next stop where the bus was waiting with a very apologetic driver. Can’t thank Heli enough, apart from that, the whole stay and experience was amazing
Aurora Suites - revontulihuoneet! Revontulia ei tällä kertaa näkynyt, tähtitaivas lumosi sen sijaan. Revontulihuoneet ovat vasta valmistuneet ja tarjosivat oivallisen majoittumiskokemuksen. There weren't any northern lights this time but the star sky was enchanting instead. The northern light rooms were just finished and offered an excellent accommodation experience. Tarjolla on monipuoliset majoittumismahdollisuudet.
We we voluntary working in the Pyha-Luosto nationalpark and we had our"basecamp" at Asteli. It was very quiet and there was only a couple of people camping at the camping area. Our group stayed at our tents. There were lots of good places to put up a tent. The toilets were mostly clean and had soap and papertowels. The sauna was always a little too hot and quite small. It was free of charge and warmed up every day which was a good thing after all. There was also a small swimming pool next to sauna but there was a wasps nest under the stairs leading to it so we didn't swim. The whole place was filled with small notes such as "Please put your rubbish in the bin." They were all translated in English but had funny mistakes. For example a sign noting that swimming is always at our own risk was translated so that it sounded like it is everyone's responsibility to go swimming. We saw a lot of reindeers and they did no harm to us. Asteli is ok for a short stopover but maybe not for longer stays.…
Glod quality food but basic. Good service and clean place. a litte bit quiet to see people. More for people first time Lapland. Need to have some specialities. Buffet price was not bad compare to queLity
Very inconvinient kitchen, unfriendly staff (lady at the reception), already seen its best days, not for the allergegic. Pyhä itself is a wonderful destination. Would not come again. Look for another accomondation.
Extemporary one night stay. Nice I could bring my dog along. Comfortable and roomy. A little on the warm side in the living room , bedrooms cooler which was good. Nothing I could fault , quiet, clean, good Wifi. Easy access- by car- to Pyhä walking/ Naava Nature Centre. I did find the web pages a little confusing when booking.
Loved or cabin. Clean 2 bedroom kitchenette ( small fridge, cook top, microwave) bathroom/ sauna AND heated toilet floor! Having not been to Europe before .... the bed configuration is very different to Downunder....I was a bit apprehensive but that changed in no time. Very comfortable and warm nights sleep. There is a fire place ( didn't use it) and split system aircon which is on ALL the time....contact reception to change to comfortable temperature. Has double Windows and a drying cupboard! Beautiful memories for many years to come.
