The apartments are well appointed, fairly modern fittings, especially the kitchen. Such a bonus to have a dishwasher (our ski chalets before haven’t had one before), and dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, sponge/brush, tea-towel, bin bags, toilet and kitchen rolls, etc provided too. The beds are very comfortable. Having the toilet separate to the shower/sauna room was useful. Soundproofing between rooms wasn’t great - we were woken by the neighbours next door and/or above using their toilet each morning. The suites are also on a common corridor; we experienced people talking loudly on their way in/out, children shouting, plus the stomp of ski boots up and down the corridor, and from the floor above us, early morning (from 7h) and at night (22.30/23h). The Pyhälinna chalets don’t have this corridor arrangement - we’d try to book there if we came again, even though the rooms appear more compact. A bath would’ve been welcome, but I think you have to book Pyhälinna for that, same as wood burners. The ski lockers, waxing bench, and a handy laundry were on the first floor. Most people seem to leave their ski stuff in their rooms. Our room was one of the furthest from the family slopes. We managed to ski back to the car park but it’s a stretch to say our apartment was ski-in. The short bit of road up from the car park to the front door was a bit steep, and usually icy - we and others slipped and fell a few times (mostly in snow boots, not ski boots). Cars were also seen wheel-spinning on the ice, so take care there! The short path to the apartment building was also steep and a struggle to get up, especially in ski boots. They do grit it periodically, but it felt safer when there’s fresh snow. The building has a back door - exit-only, no keycode pad - which is less steep. The rooms have a keycode pad, same as the building’s entrance, so no need to worry about losing/finding keys. All in all a lovely apartment, but too little soundproofing and not the best location within resort for us. If we came back to Pyhä again (too much of the resort was inaccessible for us as little-confidence second-time skiers especially as most chair lifts were closed, so we might go elsewhere next time) we’d probably book at Pyhälinna even though those rooms are more compact, just so we don’t have corridor noise and also so we could more likely ski up to the door.

I love this location. Pet friendly and kid friendly! A sled and fire wood are available for your unit. The in unit sauna, washer, and winter gear dryer are awesome additions! The heated floors and kitchen cabinets are my favorite Finnish touch - but iitala plates and bowls just made my entire stay that much better. Quality all around. The ladder to the loft was a bit scary but expected for a loft, sofa turned into a bed for the family member who couldn’t use the stairs. Loved the stay, the location at the base of the ski resort provided plenty of activities and within 2 hours or less there were plenty more activities! Will be visiting again. The staff at the restaurant (where we checked in late after visiting Santa) was very accommodating and friendly! Super helpful.

we managed to miss the drone disruption at Gatwick, then the snow arrived a few days before we did (there was none we were getting very worried) the whole trip was amazing but specifically the hotel was great. There were only apartments left when we booked but actually they were really quite nice...clean, comfy and warm with a little self catering area. they had a sauna which we all had a go in plus a drying area. Snowy Bowey came to read the girls a bedtime story in their little bedroom while they sat in their bunk beds! We were very close to the restaurant which was nice as we didnt have far to walk we had a little balcony but to be honest it was too cold to stand out there for long! lovely to look at the night sky so clear. The staff were lovely in the hotel and the food was buffet style although as a vegetarian they gave me a choice of 2 meals (i think it was) and brought that out straight from the kitchen. i thought the food was really nice. the kids had buffet kids food which was a bit dried out but passable. they had a disco with the elves for the kids one night and the room/bar area was absolutely crammed (the girls had fun, but i hated it - no seats, hot etc...couldnt wait to get out - of course i didnt let the girls know that!) The area is so lovely my daughter (11 years old) couldnt get enough of sledging but my 6 year old got cold and wanted to go in. all in all we were very comfortable and glad we didnt have a long walk from the cabins to the hotel! we travelled with canterbury travel

It's central building has a sign "Colorado" where there is a restaurant-bar and reception. The hotel is spread in many buildings over a relatively large area. We had a suite which had 2 bedrooms, a sitting room with a kitchenette and a bathroom + sauna. Comfortable and clean, though we had our room serviced only once. Mattresses very soft and uncomfortable. We received a room code and have not seen any staff apart from the restaurant. The restaurant provides average food but the staff is very nice.

Just go back from a weeks skiing in Finland. I stayed at the Lina Apartments which is ski in ski out. The apartments have only just been opened and they are very spacious and every one has a Sauna, just what you need after a day on the slopes. Went self catering and went to the main hotel for evening meal which is expensive eg 6pcs of scampi& chips €41. Lunch times we ate on the mountain which was not that expensive. The snow conditions was fantastic and some days we had the slopes to ourselves. Only down side was there are to many drag/tbar lifts and only 1 chair lift. Def recommend this resort as it covers all levels of skiers.

My family and I have just returned from a week long trip to Pyha staying in the Pyha suites. This was our first trip skiing and we chose Finland for guaranteed snow and this particular resort as it was small and we thought quieter than other. I travelled with my husband and my three children (15, 13 and 10) as well as our friends who have two children (8 and 3). We stayed in the larger of the suites (type G I think) as did our friends despite them not needing the extra bedroom. The suites themselves were fantastic, very clean, spacious and the sauna and the dryer for the ski equipment were invaluable. The resort itself is stunning and although there were only about 2 hours of actual daylight, the slopes are very well lit and didn't hamper our skiing at all. We stayed in block C and it was right on the family slope, not quite ski in, ski out but very close. There are plenty of runs to keep beginners and intermediate skiers going and my kids loved the fun slopes that were the other side of the family slope. So the only negative I have is the hill, oh the dreaded hill to go down to get groceries or book excursions etc. Going down is fine but back up with young kids or groceries is not nice so plan to do it as little as possible. The kitchens in the apartments were really well equipped but my advice is to take things like cereal, pasta, packet soups, crisps etc with you so you don't have to buy it all there. It is quite expensive for food and you can't seem to buy wine or spirits in the shops but this shouldn't be enough to put you off. The Huttu pub half way down the family slope is a fantastic place for lunch. They sell large pizza and portions of chips at lunchtime (3 portions of chips between five of us was plenty) and in the evening they do pizzas and burgers etc and they were well priced. If you want to splash out a bit more we visited the restaurant at the bottom of the main slope (a la carte) which was very good - book though as we didn't and were very nearly turned away. The Colorado restaurant in the hotel was also very good but again book as they sometimes don't have as many staff on. To top off a fantastic holiday, we also saw the Northern lights on our last night walking back from the pub from the top of the family slope!! Incredible! After all that being said we would definitely recommend Pyha Suites and Pyha itself and will definitely go again

This is the great alternative to the sometimes overcrowded resorts on offer through RCI. If you want something that is different and that offers peace and quiet and really friendly locals, then this is the place to go! There are a lot of outdoor activities to keep you amused and several restaurants within 2km. A car is a must to make the most of this holiday, albeit that the only thing you tend to see on the roads are reindeer, rather than other cars! We stayed in the heart of the heat wave, which was unheard of in Lapland and so it did get very hot in the rooms as the buildings are built to keep heat in, not let it out. This is the only reason for us giving a four star rather than five for the sleep quality and rooms. An electric fan would have made all the difference, but there weren't any available when we asked. We would heartily recommend it and look forward to returning to Finland in the very near future.

As I have already indicated, there was no air conditioning in the unit and no internet connection. These are huge problems in the 21th century. In addition, nobody was there to fix these problems. The hotel staff shrugged its shoulders and told us that they were not responsible for anything because they distribute only the room keys.

We stayed in pyha before Christmas, this was our third visit to Finland as it's beautiful country and very magical at Christmas with good skiing.. The pyha suites are clean, comfortable, the kitchen has everything needed except oven. sauna is welcome after a day on the slopes, but did work it more with luck than knowledge.. They are ski in out, and we where in a quiet part so the kids could play out back on their sledges by themselves, we could watch from our balcony.. We had breakfast in the hotel, but it was just more continental than English and had to take the toaster from our room for toast (we have had better standard of breakfast at other places in lapland).. There is a k market at the bottom of the hill, which was fun to sledge down to, but a killer to walk back up, (saves going to the gym takes about 20 mins with my 6 year old, who did stop alot to play in the snow).. We brought sausages and buns from the k market and sat at the fire Hut and cooked them, whilst skiing, which was perfect.. I'll review all activities we done separately. Compared to other places in lapland.. We liked the fact it was quiter and felt more like a friendlier place, slopes are great with ones for a range of abilities.. Definitely would go back
