Nice hotel at a wonderful location near the beach. The beach is of great quality with nice white sand. They have a large free parking. For a few euros you can enjoy a really great breakfast! The people are really nice too.

We enjoyed very much the tasteful breakfast buffet served in a cosy and light room with view of the sea The staff was friendly and our family room consisting of 2 separate sleeping room were comfortable and clean. In short walking distance near to the sea, you can find a handful of various restaurants. Fehmarn is only a short drive from the hotel, and definitely worth a visit.

Friendly staff, really great breakfast. The room on third floor was kind of small and the furniture were from another century, but everything was clean and unbroken, so the conclusion must be quite ok.

The owners were friendly, the location (right on the beach) was great and within walking distance to restaurants and bars, and the breakfast was good. The room we had was large and quiet, with good WiFi and a minifridge down the hall that was stocked with beers. We'd stay here again if we were in the area.

As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I always claim that one either has the hospitality gene or one hasn't. The owners of the Hotel am Wind most definitely have it - and lots of it. We arrived tired one afternoon during our cycling tour along the Baltic coast looking for a place to stay along the sea front. After being quoted an extortionate price at another hotel, we stumbled across the Hotel am Wind. And how lucky we were. It is by far the most attractive property along the sea front, set back a few yards from the beach by a beautiful garden where we enjoyed a well-deserved beer after our efforts. The owners are extremely friendly and chatty and have extensive local knowledge which they are pleased to share with their guests. Rooms were excellent, and the breakfast was the best of the trip. All in all, our favourite hotel of our 10-day cycling tour.
