We have been at Hostel Wunderbar in April 2017 after a friend who was there a few weeks before recommended it. We did not regret to have made the slightly complicated way to Puerto Lindo. It is a very small village which is quiet and perfect for a nice time without many tourists. It is possible to rent a kanu...

Don't go there if you haven't booked a boat before! We had contact with Silvia before we went there. She told us to come and we will find a boat via San Blas to Catagena (Colombia). So we trust her to find a boat. As we arrived in her Hostel she hadn't time for us. She was always in hurry...

My favorite thing about this place is by far the veranda upstairs with the hammocks and the view of the jungle and river. It is so peaceful. We have stayed quite a few times over the past 3 years and always go back. The host is always so friendly, helpful and flexible.

I spent 5 nights in this amazing place in the tropical jungle in a clean, comfy private room with spacious and well equipped kitchen and common areas. Breakfasts in the morning were generous and coffee very good. For an off-the-beaten-path travel experience, this is the best. Of course, you should adapt your expectations to the area and accept this removed...

My girlfriend and I booked one week at Wunderbar, arrived around 11pm and was welcomed by the owners and their dogs (don't worry, very kind dogs) after a speedy and bumpy taxi ride from Panama city. We were offered a cold beer upon arrival, which was amazing! We stayed two nights and then decided to head over to Isla Grande,...

Spent 3 weeks at this hostel and have no complaints. It's a little rustic but you are our in the jungle (sort of) Met many interesting people from all over the world. The Howler monkeys are one of my favorite and I loved waking up to their chatter, or howling some would say. Lots to see and do if you...

I had such a wonderful stay at Hostel Wunderbar! I originally booked 2 nights, just to get a sense for the area, and stayed another 3 nights given the peaceful location and wonderful staff. I felt very welcome here and the staff were very accommodating. The room was exactly as described and though nearest to the street, I heard no...

this hostel turned hotel was just the thing to get us a taste of the Panamanian jungle surrounded by a family of people from around the globe. Morning coffee in a hammock amidst the sounds of birds and monkeys and late night card games with other visitors were just a few of the terrific memories. thought we would need the...

Stayed a couple days there after being robbed on the bus from Colon. Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds, $55.00 for two beds and private bath. FRESH fruit breakfast $4.00 well worth the cost. The Volcon room met all our expectations and owners and staff made for an enjoyable stay. We would stay there again if we were FORCED to...
