The island is quite small and seem to get quite busy. I feel with the few various accommodation available this one was a good choice for us and great value for money. The breakfast included was a good start of the day including fresh food. The dinner was enjoyable too with fresh seafood. There are a few reviews here mentioning the food being too expensive, but from experience with the rest of Panama - with the quality and service we found it pretty much inline. There are also a few mentions about the water being off... it does from 11pm - 6am. When you know this it’s easy to get around. We found on the island and Portobelo there is not much going on after 11pm anyway. Good opportunity to go for a nap and earlier rise to explore the island and go to the beach. With our travels through Panama we have had water off in over half of the places we stay. The hotel has it’s own dock to arrive with the boat. Also a deck with chairs and lounge chairs to relax. Thank you to the staff for being extremely helpful and friendly. I would personally stay here again.

We just spent 2 nights at this renovated hotel and our experience was outstanding! I have to congratulate Ari and Cesar who really made the difference in our stay. Ari took great care of us, making sure all our needs and wants were met. Cesar is a great chef and his food is simply delicious. We later met Gerardo who was grocery shopping at the city and who also was very diligent making sure our stay was unforgettable. The hotel is centrally located, it has several restaurants just steps away, its own dock and a private beach area. Nothing short of paradise in Isla Grande. The rooms are perfect for the beach, all with a/c, flat tv´s, bathroom with plenty of running water and comfortable beds. We really look forward to returning to this beautiful place with superb customer service. There are some minor details that need to be fixed due to the renovation this past December but nothing to worry about. Thank you Gerardo, César and Ari, you are the best!

This hotel is now reopened, under the name COCO TAL HOTEL. Nothing has changed besides the color of the exterior from green to yellow. Customers here report they have no running water. They say, the water is running between 6-8 P.M. But actually in the rooms they let, the water is missing and not in the interval they say is not fluent. Other properties around have water all the time, in the meantime, they keep lying all the customers, saying it's a problem in the pipeline on the island. Next door there is a terrace on the beach, called Papi, and it has water all the time, and a WC on the beach that you can flush! Do you understand? I am not saying they don't have hot water in the room, or that they do have enough pressure, I am telling you they don't have any water in the rooms they rent, not even COLD water! You really should pay attention, as this property still is on your website... It is not possible in the 21 century in the year 2019, to receive customers in non running water rooms. Imagine you have to urinate over your urine or worse! because you can NOT flush the toilets! This really happens in COCO TAL, I kid you NOT! Please investigate, I suspect they have done worse to the environment because in one morning while we were sitting on their terrace on the pontoon, we heard a noise and some water with small pieces of foam spilt in the sea, and small fishes came to smell like food, then fled quickly when they touched the foam. I suspect them of spilling into the sea the water with which the dishes were washed in the kitchen.
