Spending an evening at the Jungle Land floating lodge might very well have been our best experience in our ten-day Panama trip. From prompt hotel pickup to an amazingly engaging and fun guide in Captain Nathan, we (with a toddler) had an amazing journey to the lodge. Once there, the service was exquisite--great food, endless bar service and cheerful staff.... More

Location beautiful. Accomodations great. Food by Manuel and Darrell is excellent. Tim is a welcoming and warm individual. Kayaking, etc great fun. Carl is not a pleasant person who constantly interrupts people, insults people and is disliked by most of the staff-- I cannot imagine anyone wanting to be around such an irritating person. I would highly recommend this activity... More

Wow I feel like Ted Cruz at a Presidencial debate. Surprisingly being from Missouri I normally get along with Texans. When leading a tour you do have to talk over people sometimes but my intention is not to be rude but information. Im sure if we had more time together we would have bonded. As far as the crew go,... We were fortunate to be able to spend a wonderful evening, overnight and day at this truly once in a lifetime experience. After a deliciously prepared meal by Darrel and watching a spectacular sunset we went on a night safari, amazing! Captain Carl was able to catch a couple baby crocodiles and then impressed us with jumping into the river!... More

A floating jungle hotel that truly allows you to experience its unique surroundings. We did a sunrise paddle, kayaked to a waterfall, a jungle hike and done fishing expeditions. The stargazing was amazing. The accommodations were simple but adequate and the staff was helpful. The only reason I am not giving a 5 star is that there were a few... More

Our 24 hs stay at Captain Carl's Jungle Boat was definitely the highlight of the 15 days we spent in Panama (the other 14 far from being dull, on the contrary ...). The location is unique, in the midst of lake Gatún wilderness, with crocodiles cruising around the boat which, with its marine style wood architecture, has a special, albeit... More

I did this a coupe of years ago and loved it so much I scheduled a one day stopover in Panama en route to Peru so me and my five kids and wife could experience this unique and wonderful spot. Captain Carl from Missouri built and runs the place and he arranged to have a driver pick us up at... More

Brace yourselves. Compost toilets, with gerbil litter to beat back the "aroma." Sunset mosquitoes, repelled, almost, by the whir of fans and threat of compulsory superstrong bug spray. Furnishings? Hammocks. Plastic chairs. Shower temperature: see, "temperature of lake water." You good so far? Then this is absolutely the place for you. As Captain Carl says, "This place isn't for everyone."... This place was in a quite spot on a lake in the middle of jungle. The staff was relaxed, knowledgeable, adventurous and very eager to keep their guest happy. Hospitality and generosity was show in all ways; with great adventure and good food and drinks. Rooms were clean, with great view and well-functioning fan. There were a great variety of... More

I have book this excursion with Nexus tour at the Riu Playa Blanca. First we had a nice ride in a minivan with the driver explaining us a lot of things about Panama and the nature during the ride. Then we hop a a small boat on the canal and we ride the canal and Jungle for around 2 hours... More

If you're considering going to Jungleland, do yourself a favor and book it now! I love traveling and consider this one of the highlights of anywhere I've been. If you can only fit it the day trip, then do that, but I would treat yourself to staying over night and having the full experience, which includes seeing some animals that... More
