We were only in Panama for a few days so jungle land allowed to pack in a lot in a short time. Canal cruise, monkey island, kayaking and fishing. All a great lunch on the floating house followed by a siesta in a hammock overlooking the water. Turn off your gadgets and enjoy nature. Captain Carl is a great host....

The place is great, amazing, the food as well, the staff is super nice, I loved it. We stayed for the night and we really liked the environment. So why only 3 ? 3, because of Carl, the owner, who decided to keep a monkey in captivity in the middle of the jungle to show it to tourists. Just a...

A number of years ago on a rainy day two natives showed up in a dug out canoe. They had a five gallon plastic bucket and in this bucket was an adult night monkey and a baby. They were wet and the adult didnt seem to be doing well. The natives said that they had found the monkeys on the...

Spending the night at the Jungle Land Lodge is a must-do when you are in Panama. We were picked up at the dock in Gamboa by Capt. Carl and we had a great and informative tour on the canal and Lake Gatun to the lodge. Getting there we had time for a swim before a very tasty Panamanian lunch. The...

After researching what we wanted to do in Panama, a visit to the canal and the Jungle were high on the list (as expected). We came across a handful of reviews (i cant believe there arent thousands) for this so decided to look on the website. We looked at the 2 main packages $125 for the day tour or $200...

After being picked-up at our hotel (Gamboa Rainforest Resort) we motored up the Panama Canal toward the lake and lodge with multiple stops along the way to see/feed monkeys and birds. When we got to the lodge, it was serene place in the middle of the jungle where you spend the entire day watching the jungle, looking at howler monkeys...

This trip with captain Carl and his trainee Jordan turned out to be one of my finest trips I've made in my 30 years career of a flight attendant. One day and night away from the world in the most wondelful lodge in the middle of nowhere. Carl is a real conaisseur of the wildlife and still seems everytime facinated...

Very fun times at Jungle Land. The staff cater to you for everything from food to activities. Where else can you stay on a houseboat in the middle of the jungle, on Gatun Lake? My wife and I spent 2 nights there.

We were picked up early in the morning to start our 2-hour trek to the docks on the Panama Canal. Our tour guide was a wealth of information and pointed out various places of interest along the way and provided some general information about Panama. This made the bus ride pass by quite quickly. Once we reached the docks we...

Thank you Captain Carl for hosting us on your floating lodge. The twenty four hours was filled with activities - kayaking & swimming, fishing, hiking, a night time ride down the river in search of alligators, star gazing and monkeys!
