After checking the website, we arrived fir the 1 o'clock tour to find it cancelled. We couldn't stay for the next tour, the following morning. Very disappointed. We weren't the only ones in a similar position. Current tours are 8:00am and 10:30 for the lava...More
We stayed in the tents and loved the experience. Completely surrounded by nature. In the morning we enjoyed the bush breakfast with the locals. Would love to go back and stay a few nights to take advantage of the all the bushwalking opportunities. We also...More
The tours that are run to the Lava Tubes (you can only visit the tubes on a guided tour) are great, informative, and well worth it. The Lava Tubes themselves are fantastic, and are excellent examples of this particular type of geologic formation.

Sorry for not responding sooner. Unfortunately, due to Undara Experience being on the edge of the Undara Volcanic National Park we don't accept any domestic pets. However, our friendly neighbors at Mount Surprise (45 mins west of us) have plenty of options for accommodation and camping and I believe do accept pets. To name them - Bedrock Village Caravan Park, Planet Earth Adventures, Mt Surprise Caravan Park and also there is accommodation at the Mt Surprise Hotel. I hope this helps and that you have a lovely holiday with your family :-)
Have a great day!
