As others have probably already said, the accommodation comprises a number of cottages or small stone houses set in the village of Vamos, all within a short walk of the central area where everything happens including breakfast, the swimming pool, library, honesty bar and loungers. For us this was a happy set up as we had our own facilities and...

Normally I wouldn't write a second review unless there was an improvement or deterioration but suffice to say after our first visit last year, we could not wait to return and we were most definitely not disappointed. Arosmari is the perfect place for a couple to visit for rest, quiet and total relaxation. Everything is totally, "laid back".....you stay in...

We have just returned from one of the most magical holidays ever at the Arosmari Village Retreat, courtesy of Simpson Travel, and if it were not for the cost then we would have stayed for a month instead of just a week! Having said that, it's extremely good value for money bearing in mind the standard of accommodation, service, decor,...

We have been travelling to Greece for many years both with Simpson travel and it's earlier incarnation of Simply so we know their standards of service and how they value their customers. Arosmari was just perfect for us as a couple. The village setting as a working, breathing typically Greek village with its tavernas, bakery and cafeneion is wonderful. Simpson...

Just back after a wonderful fortnight in the Arosmari. We were very warmly welcomed and felt instantly at home in such relaxing and peaceful surroundings. Vamos is also a great base for touring West Crete with so much of interest in the surrounding area although it's tough to pull yourself away from the peace and relaxing atmosphere of Arosmari. A...

We have just returned from a fabulous week in Mint cottage. The cottage itself was beautiful! Many original features, very quaint but very greek. The setting is fabulous in the small inland greek village of Vamos. Sheep are regularly seen and heard being herded up and down the road by the shepherd on his moped. You definitely need a car to...

We have never been to Crete before in fact we have never been to Greece or any of her islands. We are already planning to go back. The staff are amazing and breakfasting in the garden was a lovely experience. We...

What to say if I want to keep this place to myself.! We stayed in Fennel cottage just over the road from the gardens, reading room and pool. Breakfasts were sublime, my husband is converted to yogurt and honey for breakfast. The beds were comfortable. We usually can't wait to get back to our own bed. Trish the concierge was...

Where do we start? The accommodation was excellent. Our cottage was quirky, set out on four levels. The view from the bedroom balcony was breathtakingly. It looked out over the White Mountains. The bedroom was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. Nearby are the gardens with a swimming pool, reading room over an honesty bar, and a spa and Hammas....

Wonderful village, we loved bloumasifis (I am so sorry I have no idea how to spell it) and we thought that one of the waiters looked just like Orlando bloom! One thing I would says as that my bed was so hard I could barely sleep on it. It was more like a brick wall with a sheet on top....
