This is my first review on trip advisor and felt that this hotel got so much undeserved bad press I had to write something. My husband and I were there for 2 weeks in September - i read all the reviews before booking but felt that the positives outwayed the negatiives.I was not disappointed. The staff were all lovely and tried...

Hi just back from a week at the Elpida and thought I would share these views . The hotel itself is fine, but be warned it is set on a large hill and I mean Large . On arrival we were met at the bottom of the hill and the cases were thrown into the back of a pick up and...

I have spent a week there in mid-September. The hotel grounds are amazing - the pool is great (very deep with separate kid's pool), there is lots of sunbeds around the pool and on the grass in the garden. There are also some shaded areas for those who prefer to stay out of the sun. As the hotel is situated...

We stayed from the 20th to the 27th of August and found the hotel to be exactly as advertised. After a nightmare transfer (nothing to do with the hotel by the way) we were met at the bottom of the hill (4.30 am!!!) and our luggage transported to reception this type of service was typical during our stay. The staff...

We stayed at the Elpida Hotel for 7 days in September. The weather was ideal, hot enough in the day to sunbathe, but not unbearable. The pool area was clean and comfortable. The nearby beach was stunning, well worth visiting. Unfortunately there were a couple of negatives during our stay; firstly the transfer. This took 2.5 hours, despite being advertised...

lovely people (the other guests) but food was awful, recycled from lunch to dinner with a different sauce over it, Lidl's finest drinks all watered down, as long as you like cheap brandy, raki or ouzo or watered down beer, snacks at the bar are not even worth serving, horrible old sandwiches from recyled ham and cheese left over from...

We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were helped with our suitcases up the hill. There is a phone at the entrance which you can call reception to collect your luggage which was a big help. Yes there was a steep hill, but when you're surrounded my amazing sea and mountain views, what do you expect. The...

We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Elpida Hotel. Prior to travelling we read the brochure and website info which states that there is a steep hill to the hotel - there is, hence the beautiful views, its tough getting up there but not impossible and quite steep for about 75 metres but well worth it to ensure...

The fact that a 45 day old puppy bit you, and my Golden Retriever (not Lab, but obviously you can't tell the difference...) did not wag its tail to you proves that dogs do have the 6th sense...and can tell who is what...

Just returned from a week at the Elpida hotel. Stayed in a 2-bedroomed apartment that was on the 1st. floor with some sea and mountain views. Some views were obscured by trees and there was a road directly outside the rooms that serviced the hotel and lower down the hill a busy main road. There was no noise at night from...

“Seaview rooms are better, those overlooking the pool may get noisy in the evenings if there are guests partying outside but you can get a wi fi signal on your balcony. Do not get a singel garden view as they have no balconies.”
