I had such a lovely time in Bruff. I was there in May 2019 (TripAdvisor won’t let me go back further than Sep 2019!). I’m feeling very nostalgic during these Covid times. And so I remember the kindness of my hostess, Miriam, at The Old Bank in Bruff. Not only did I have the BEST Irish Breakfast of my entire stay (her husband makes the sausage!), but she put me in touch with one of my husband’s relatives in nearby Herbertstown. You see, Miriam knows EVERYONE, and within a few hours, I was able to meet someone I never would’ve connected with online or otherwise. What a treat. So, if you’re lucky enough to go there - I’m here in the US for now - then please do. I wish I could go back sooner rather than later. And that breakfast! WOW - there’s nothing like it.

How sweet of you to post this reply I think you need to thank my mother in law for making the connection for me and I'm delighted that it brought such joy and fond memories. My husband will be delighted with your review of his breakfast meats. these times are certainly strange for sure and while we have lost all our international trade, we here at the old bank have be so fortunate to have loyal commercial work to keep us working and hopefully in 2021 we will be able to welcome all our regualr international guests back to our home. Stay, Safe & Well, Fond Farewells Miriam & Family

My boyfriend and I stayed here as part of a little summer roadtrip. A beautiful spot that surpassed expectations. The hostess, Miriam, was very welcoming and we were delighted that she gave us a free room upgrade. The room itself was stunning and sparkling clean. There was great clarity of instructions about keys and amenities etc. given the current regulations in place. The jacuzzi bath was also a lovely luxury. We knew we were going walking in the mountains and weren’t sure what time we’d be back so we decided against booking dinner in the nearby pub incase we were late. The hostess was very obliging regarding booking dinner reservations etc. We ended up getting takeaway from the Chinese across the road and eating it in the room. The food was great, we were tired and the room was gorgeous, with a table and chairs so this suited us fine. Breakfast was delicious! Had a gorgeous full Irish and there was also a spread of pastries and muffins to choose from- all yum! Overall, a lovely stay.

We stayed at the B&B as we where doing aMTB race in the local trails. Got down late saturday eying and received a very warm welcome. We where shown the rooms, which had everything and very spacious. We then popped across the road for a few Guinness. We had our own key to get in, sleep well due to the comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent, cereal, fruit, and then a good menus of fry ect.  We plan to come down again and will stay here again.

I was pleased to bring my family to stay at the Old Bank in Bruff and we were delighted with the time spent here. Miriam couldn’t have been more welcoming to us. She was a great source of knowledge on places to visit in local area, Limerick and beyond. The rooms are charming; very well set out; and very comfortable. The breakfasts were just fabulous in terms of choices and quality. The homemade bread and muffins were to die for and a real treat each morning. There is a nice lounge area where guests can sit and relax in front of a lovely fire. We used Bruff as a place from which to visit Kilmallock, Limerick City and onwards to the Cliffs of Moher. We spent our evenings visiting local pubs in Bruff - where there was a warm welcome and friendly people. Clancys Pub fed us really well one night - even though we arrived after the time their kitchen had closed. All in all, the Old Bank proved to be the perfect location for a family visit to celebrate my 60th year. I hope I get the opportunity to come back and stay again. I would certainly choose a return to the Old Bank in Bruff.
