This little gem was a delightful surprise on our Sri Lankan odyssey. From the moment we were met by Pippa who instantly made us feel incredibly welcome we knew we were in the right place to chill. Host Rusty has a top notch guest house which is going to be somewhere we already look forward to return to the next to we visit Hiriketiya as it’s perfectly placed for all amenities. Its location is a short stroll to the beached is perfectly placed to reach all of the areas with amenities within the small surfing village of Hiriketiya Bay. Every now and then when you travel you arrive at a new destination and in particular special place that you can't wait to get back to CasaVana is that place that I can't wait to get back. For both my wife and I, the vibe in the accommodation is spot on with its immaculately clean l rooms which have got their own little more interesting elements. We had a double room with a cool outside shower bathroom and small Sala chill area to the front to watch the monkeys play and entertain us.
It’s über chilled vibe is enhanced with some great playlists curated by Rusty the host which for me was the icing on a most delightful cake. So can't wait to return to this little slice of heavenly tranquility.

This place is an exquisite escape in the middle of the jungle - you can hear the monkeys and the birds. Yet it is also peaceful and quiet. The rooms are large and some have outdoor bathrooms and kitchen areas, which add to the natural ambience. The best thing is that you can enjoy the peace but just five minutes away you'll find a host of cafes bars and restaurants, as well as a beautiful beach. The staff go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome.
The owner was particularly helpful and gave me numerous suggestions of things to do in the area. He couldn't have been more accommodating and knowledgeable. They can also arrange trips and a driver. As a lone female, I felt very safe. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Nestled only about 50 meters from the hiriketiya bay and beach is this gem of a place that is perfect if you want a nice place to work and stay in Hiriketiya. The rooms are super comfortable and the amenities provided are just enough for a stay at the beach.
It’s a very peaceful and serene environment to work (which is what I did for a week) whilst close enough to the beach to go have your morning and evening swims.
The staff are super friendly and accommodative and make sure you are always looked after. They also give great recommendations on places to go and things to do.
The check in process is not formal but easy and seamless.
Overall I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this place for anyone who wants to work and relax for a long period of time. Will be certainly coming here again whenever I’m in Hiriketiya.
There is also a great convenient store at the end of the road (about 15 meters from the property) that has everything you need. I stayed in the room that has a private kitchen area where they give you utensils to cook and make your coffee/tea etc. there is also a general common area where you can relax and use as well.

This was our favourite place we stayed in during our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka! The rooms are finished to a high standard and with a chic interior design style. The communal area is a nice touch and means you can cook if you want to and tea and coffee was available for us. There is also a water filter with glass bottles to refill.
A short 3 min walk to the beach, which is a beautiful bay. Some very nice restaurants in close proximity for all of your meals.

Casa Vana has my heart! This place is absolutely incredible, the entire vibe is relaxing and remote but you’re so so close to everything you need! It’s completely walkable to some of the best beaches and bars! Rusty is by far one of the best hosts you will ever come across, his hospitality was second to none. I will only ever stay at Casa Vana when I’m in Hiriketiya from now on!!

The stay at vana casa was beyond our expectations. The peace and harmony, welcoming and caring staff, and the thought and love put in any corner, makes us want to come back next year. We had a great stay at Casa Vana! It's a really unique place to stay, totally surrounded by nature even though you are minutes away from the main beach in Hiriketiya. I loved the decor and the photos of the place reflect exactly as it is. The managers Rasanjana and Pip were very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

So good we returned later on our trip to stay longer. Hiriketiya is in danger of becoming mini Unawatuna but not yet, so make the most of the cove and this gem of a place to stay and relax. A little above it all in more than one way yet still just minutes from the gorgeous safe beach and great surf - (an extra ordinary combination.) plenty of good places to eat nearby or cook for yourself on the rooftop - just wonderful

Great, designer boutique-like place to stay, with very friendly and relxed vibe. If you want to chill out away from the crowd, in a stylish and well-equipped place this the place! The staff is awesome and really helpful. Definitely worth recommending.

Had a delightful 2 night stay at Casavana. The hotel and location was superb. The melon in the room on arrival was a nice touch. Lovely host, very attentive and helpful. Also enjoyed Disney the dog and the bathroom frog! No negative feedback and look forward to staying there another time soon. Harry + Laura x
