Quinta Nova - Luxury Winery House was born in 2005, reconstructed from an old eighteenth century manor house designed in full harmony with nature and tradition. Guests are able to live the true spirit of the Douro Valley by accompanying the Quinta's wine activities, trying out the walking routes and discovering the Quinta's historical spots. Reencountering tradition means that our guests can choose amongst the 11 rooms - all of which have a panoramic view onto the vineyards and onto the river, and decorated in the region's style but ensuring complete comfort.

Wonderful experience

Would be able to get to and from the quinta on our ebikes?

It´s possible but quite a distance from Porto. Don´t know how far you can ride on an ebike. It´s a very scenic route and if you´re used to the bike tghen I don´t see why not.

Is the restaurant open on Sundays for people that are not staying at the hotel? We are a group of friends that would love to come visit the area and have lunch here next Sunday.

Not sure About sundays though I would think so especially in Season , yes they do allow outside visitors their cafe is also tasty !

We are booked here for three nights in October, and want to have dinner outside the property at least two nights, one at DOC. I've read that the drive up to the Quinta is difficult and scary. Is driving back at night after dinner feasible? I am a good driver but don't want to fall off the road.

Hi it's not that difficult even with a few drinks and had suv ! At night you can see the other cars with headlights ! Doc is great food !

Paul - i think your idea is definitely doable. We arrived by Boat and others (see above) left by train. Need to arrange with hotel.

Hi , we are staying at the Quinta for a few nights early October and wondering if possible to arrive from Porto by boat and return by train but don't know where to look?

The best thing is to ask the hotel. They do have a sort of jetty not far from the hotel. But they will certianly be able to help you! The region is quite remote, so take all the help from the hotel you can. Its fabulous there! However, the drive to and from is a bot scary, especially at night, I would certianly recomend you plan on having dinner in the hotel and days/lunches out. The train stop is 5 mins away which will take you to Pinhao or Regua. Enjoy!
