Very nice Hotel with spacious room and bathroom, nice outdoor pool and sunbathing area. Ideal for golfers with course on site. The choices in the restaurant for dinner were limited although the food was nice.
Disappointing: When you book a 5 star hotel you're expecting higher standards. The room was small, everything felt old and outdated. Some parts of the wallpaper and ceiling were falling. Half the price would still be to expensive for the experience.
Hotel and facilities were excellent. We had 3 bedroom house with own pool which was superb. Golf course was excellent and easy to book. Pool facilities around the hotel were excellent as was indoor pool. Overall had a lovely time
If you want to enjoy a few quiet days in the countryside in the green of the golf club, access to thee lovely swimminpools, and with a very good atmosphere and ambience, Doce Campo Rela Lisboa is the place!
We stayed at this hotel with two other couples and two friends to attend a wedding nearby. In total we had three young babies with us. The hotel was lovely, very clean and well presented. The pool was large and there was ample space around the sunloungers both to keep your space from other guests and for babies to potter. The staff at the pool bar were very nice. The food across the hotel was of a high standard and delicious. I would not however recommend this hotel to groups. When we checked in we were not told the requirement to prebook for dinner. The first night we went to the restaurant we were the only people there for the majority of the evening, had not prebooked and generally the hotel felt very empty. The next night we turned up for a table of 8, with two highchairs and a baby asleep in a pram. The staff refused to sit us together, scoffed and rolled their eyes at the arrival of some of the group when they were met at the door. They sat us in a four and two twos. When we asked to join the two groups of two as one of the pairs were sat at a table which had 4 place settings already they would not let us. As they said no we then asked to move the two tables (which were next to each other) together to which they also said no. We explained we were happy sitting at the remaining two spare seats on the table for four which only had a couple sat at it and this was met with some aggression. The waitress then reluctantly dragged our table across to the other table in a way that it genuinely felt like we were being filmed for prank show. The table screeched, the cutlery and glasses were rattling everywhere and the waitress huffed and puffed angrily saying "no no" whenever we tried to help. It drew attention from other guests and was very embarrassing, let alone nearly waking the baby up. This set the tone for the rest of the evening. I tried to settle the atmosphere by explaining we didn't know we needed to book and apologised, but the waitresses still treated us like second grade citizens. As we had been put in the corner away from all other guests, we were ignored for the majority of the evening. They didn't take our orders for a delayed period of time, and when we asked to order it was met with eye rolls and whispering between waitresses. When we had finished our food our table wasn't cleared for 40 minutes until we asked for the dessert menu and for some plates to be taken. We then had to wait another 15 minutes for them to take our dessert order by which point it was too late. I must add, the rest of the restaurant had some diners but was in no way busy, we were very clearly being avoided. Our treatment was pretty appalling considering we were always polite, apologetic and understanding. We were bemused at our unfair treatment. To make it easy for the restaurant we requested to book for breakfast so we could be seated together, however they also said no and that they would not accommodate us to sit together. Other families or groups were accommodated. Some improvements would be some low music in the restaurants and by the pool as there wasn't much of an atmosphere and it was incredibly quiet. Additionally the menu is identical across all restaurants which is also reasonably limited so after a few nights of eating at the hotel it can become a bit boring. Some variety would be nice. Unfortunately, whilst the hotel was lovely, the unpleasant experience with some of the staff tainted the trip and caused some upset considering we had paid a lot to be there and some of us hadn't seen each other for 2 years due to covid. It should be noted some of our group would return despite the treatment we received so that is a positive, however I personally wouldn't because I dont like poor customer service. …
