Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
TUI BLUE Falesia comes highly recommended for its impeccable cleanliness, with guests consistently applauding the spotless rooms and well-maintained premises. The hotel's location is appreciated for its easy access to beaches and local attractions, although the off-season might see fewer options. While the spacious and comfortable rooms receive high marks, some visitors have experienced issues with air conditioning and replenishing of toiletries.
Service at the hotel is generally celebrated for the staff's friendliness and professionalism, though there have been occasional mentions of slow bar service. The atmosphere is noted for its tranquility, ideal for those seeking relaxation, yet a few guests desire more lively entertainment. Opinions on value vary, with some guests finding the hotel a cost-effective escape, while others point out additional expenses and limited free amenities.

Detailed Reviews
We were initially meant to stay at a five star resort in Vilamoura but when we found out their spa wasn’t operational we found TUI Blue whilst searching further. We stayed for 5 nights on half board and was so pleased that we did. This hotel was very pleasant indeed. The staff members across the board were incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. A special note of thanks to Sandra on the front desk.
Having stayed at five star resorts in this region previously, it’s important to highlight a couple of incredibly positive points about this hotel. The daily activities they have on offer are vast and amazing even in low season which is certainly not the same in other hotels. They have an entire daily schedule of activities from meditation, yoga, Pilates, boot camp, language classes, the list goes on. They even have evening entertainment in the bar area which again is a nice option to have after dinner as the local area was very quiet. Nothing of this sort was offered at other five star resorts where I have stayed previously. The spa area was lovely, the steam, sauna and heated indoor swimming pool were all clean and nicely presented at no extra charge to guests. It’s worth mentioning that some resorts do charge. Having seen other reviews with people complaining about toiletries, indeed they do not have the usual miniature disposable selection but this is a very positive thing. The single shampoo/shower gel dispenser means far less plastic wastage which people should appreciate and not criticise! The rooms were always cleaned to a high standard and all the necessary replenished.
There are a few restaurants within walking distance but overall it’s a very quite area in the evening this time of the year. The food was at a decent standard, as a pescatarian, they had a good assortment of seafood every evening, mostly fish with prawns and mussels offered on some evenings.
The only changes I would make would be to have water available during dinner service and to have a water fountain/facility in the spa area. All drinks including water have to be purchased during dinner service. An absolutely lovely experience at this hotel, a first of this sort for us but so positive that we may go back! Thank you to everyone at TUI BLUE who made the stay so enjoyable, we were grateful for your excellent service amongst many other positive points.

Dear Sarahtrini, Thank you so much for your feedback regarding your recent stay at the TUI BLUE Falesia. We are very happy that you have chosen our hotel for your stay in the Algarve and that you were not disappointed to stay with us. It is very positive that you had tried our large program of activities which indeed is very extensive. Thank you for understanding our policy of the toiletries. As we do care about the environment we are trying to decrease the amount of plastics in the hotel and one of the measure is reducing toiletries and provide a gel dispenser. We are very happy that could be your holidays maker and that you can come back to our hotel to visit in the future. Wishing all the best, Suely Inhouse Marketing & Media Guide

+1
We visited in the 'off peak' season (it was about 10% capacity) as we prefer it quieter and like the adult only hotel to help relax. Check in was prompt and the room was a nice modern look. There was a nice large bed (two singles joint together), chairs with a small table, a dressing area with a chair and the cupboard had a small fridge in it. There was a small wall hung television and the safe was contained in the cupboard. Room slippers and robes were also provided for use in the sauna/steam/indoor pool area. There was parking available (not sure how much there would be in peak). A large outside pool and Jacuzzi which are not heated so were too cold for use at the time of year we visited. There is a gym and indoor pool (although the indoor pool was heated we still found it too cold). There are activities depending on different levels ie beginner bodyweight in the gym area. Thought this is just the time it starts not the duration of the activity (use the app or tablets for more information about the activity). The fitness team know what they are doing and differ the classes so its not the same. The food was a selection of hot and cold for breakfast. The evening was a selection too, but something that can get fairly repetitive depending on the length of your stay, which is worse if you have dietary requirements vegetarian as more restricted to pizza/pasta/chips. Although, there was a small area with a vegan selection. Things to possibly take on board that we would have preferred: - the reception and corridors being warmer, a little cooler in the restaurant, a warmer indoor pool, the activities timings to be clearer on the printed sheet.

We have just returned from an eleven night stay at this hotel. From the moment you walk into the hotel you feel at home, a feeling which stayed with us right up until the time we left. Covid procedures were expertly observed with gloves or sanitiser required in the restaurant and face masks worn by the vast majority of people as they moved about the hotel. Speaking of the restaurant, can we also complement the hotel on the choice and quality of the food. The buffet selection was amazing, and I am told by those on All Inclusive, that the A la Carte restaurant was also excellent. Drinks for us half boarders were competitively priced, served by friendly and attentive staff, always willing to help when required. One slight gripe would be the quality of the house wine which could only be described as average at best! However, I am sure this is something which could be addressed. Our room was without doubt one of the best we have stayed in; it was spacious, spotlessly clean and with a bed so big we had to text each other in the morning to ask if we wanted a cup of tea! The pool area was spotless, well maintained each day and we had no problem in securing a sunbed. We would also like to thank the Tui Blue Team at the hotel who worked tirelessly to help everyone make the most of their holiday. If you are thinking of some time away in September, please seriously consider this hotel. It was certainly worth jumping through all the hoops to get there and to return home again.

This Hotel is very smart, comfortable and in a good location, but, the main disappointment was during check-in, because they not only ignored a request for a high floor (which can happen) but then told me we could be transferred to the same standard of room higher up for a fee of something like 10 euros per day which would work out around 140 euros just to fulfil our request that we made through a TUI travel agent. The extra payment was never mentioned to us until we arrived at reception. We felt ripped off and it has put me off trusting money grabbing TUI again. We are going with Jet2 this year. Customer perception is important, no matter what your excuse is.

Dear Tripian, Thank you for taking your time in sharing your review of TUI BLUE Falesia. We are glad to hear that you found us smart, comfortable and in a good location. At the same time, we are very sorry about this misunderstanding regarding our Select Your Room program with one of our colleagues at TUI Travel. This new feature allows you to forget about the stress and uncertainty about requesting a room just securing the room of your liking based in different aspects, i.e sun in the morning, sun in the afternoon, top floor, near elevator etc... at a very small cost compared to the whole holiday package. We are afraid that you saw this advantage as a rip off when it is actually quite the opposite! We hope you enjoy your holidays this year and we will be more than happy to serve you the next time that you decide to visit us. Kind regards, Javier R

Recently returned from a fabulous holday at this hotel.
Its in a lovely setting on top of the cliffs with a lovely pool & beutiful gardens.
We were extremely impressed with the way in which the hotel were handling the pandemic by having one way arrows, hand sanitisers & disposable gloves at the buffet. All the staff wore their masks constantly whilst on duty too which cant have been much fun in the heat.
We enjoyed the chice of food & loved the A La Carte restaurant.
I think that some guests did not understand the concept of "adults only Tu Blue".
We enjoyed the peace & quiet by the pool & there were several notices stating that due to covid no inflatables or ball games were allowed in the pool.
We had the unfortune to witness Claire F on holiday with her massive pineapple lilo & were disgusted by the way she spoke to the pool staff & went in the pool with her lilo whenever the pool attendant was off duty even after he had told her very politely that it was not allowed.. There were actually at least 4 aqua gym classes a week whilst we were there which were extremely popular. There was also a very full programme of classes at least 6 days a week.
We also loved our massive walk in shower & extremlely large comfortable bed.
We also enjoyed listening to live music on the terrace every night, especially the duo on Thursday evenings.
Thank you to all the staff for a lovely holiday!

Dear MandM1309, Thank you so much for your comment at our Tripadvisor page but as well for our detailed review regarding your recent stay at the hotel. Your review just made us extremely happy :) It is very positive that you have felt welcomed since the first time you have arrived here in the hotel. We appreciate your words regarding the food in the main restaurant, the rooms, the covid rules we implemented in the hotel but as well our ambience here in the hotel with our live music. Indeed we try to implement all rules necessary to keep the safety of the pool area , which is were most guest are doing the summer, especially now with covid but we also ask our guests to have common sense as our employees are only following rules. Thank you for choosing our hotel for the mentioning to our staff that contributed to make this an unforgettable stay. We hope to receive your visit in the near future but as well for recommending our hotel to future travellers :) Wishing all the best from the whole team of TUI BLUE Falesia, Suely- Inhouse Marketing & Media Guide

After a last minute cancellation on our holiday to the Canaries, we managed to get TUI to send us to the Algarve.
Fortunately, we were offered the TUI Blue Falesia as our alternative. This was our first Adults only hotel, so this was a refreshing change to hotels where kids entertainment fill the majority of the day. This made this hotel stay just that one step more relaxing than our usual choice in Hotels.
Rooms are spacious and of great clean quality, they do look quite recently refurbished, so that always makes for a pleasant accommodation. (Shower only in our room, not sure if they have bath options for the Bath fans.) Go for a sea view room would be my reccomendation.
Gym facilities are good, one of the larger gyms I've used in a hotel abroad.
Food offering was very varied for every meal, so keeping eating options fresh and new was pleasant. Be sure to book your A la carte and BBQ weekend nights book early on to avoid missing out.
Service attendants were always on hand in the service areas, and rarely there was a need to wait for service at any time.
Pool area was always clean and presentable.
TUI Blue App is the replacement any notice board or paper information, so be prepared to use that to get all the information you need for the hotel.
Covid Safety seems to be on point in all areas, clear directional arrows, in and out doors.
The hotel location is near a selection of bars which are around 10 minute walk down the hill. The two largest big nightlife towns are between 3-5 miles away in opposite directions along the coast (Albufeira & Quarteira) so bear that in mind if you want a big nightlife every night of the week.
Plenty of sandy beach options within short walking distance. Tide in does separate them into alcoves along the front of the hotel, so check your tide times on the TUI Blue Hotel App.

Good points
The food was lovely and there was lots of choice everyday. Guests are asked to wear gloves when collecting their food as a Covid measure. Generally most guests respected the rule to wear masks around the hotel.
The staff were lovely and friendly throughout the hotel.
The room was very clean and large in size. We had a side view room on the end. Staff cleaned the room and made the bed everyday.
Our two visits to the other restaurant during our stay were both enjoyable and the food was lovely.
Everything is bookable on the tui blue app.
Bad points
We were all inclusive but there was a lack of cocktails on the all inclusive menu. Other cocktails were available but chargeable.
The hotel was very quiet and there was no music around the pool which meant there wasn’t much atmosphere.
The entertainment was the worst thing about the holiday. The Portuguese dancers were awful. The singers were ok but we’re all playing guitar and all had the same set list of songs. Think the hotel needs to look into a wider range of entertainment and ensuring that set lists are compared to avoid listening to the same songs every night. Also there is no entertainment on a Sunday night.

Ola dear 340laural, thank you very much for choosing our hotel for your holiday and that kind review. We are glad to see that you were happy about the cleanliness of the hotel and the service provided by our team. Especially nice to read that you enjoyed our a-la-carte with the portuguese cuisine and the the food offers in general. We do regret reading that you were not satisfied with the all inclusive offer, as we do have a big variety of cocktails. And our cocktail list , which was created with a winning award mixologist, is including premium, rare and hand shaked drinks, that for some Cocktails there is a small suplement. As we are a TUI BLUE for two, most of our guests are choosing our hotel to spend a relaxing holiday in a quite atmosphere and really do appreciate this ambience and the low-key entertainment as the focus is more on our BLUEf!t Fitness Activities. We regret that we did not met your expectations in that. Nevertheless we look forward to welcome you back very soon and convince you about all the amentinties of our hotel. sunny greetings from Allgarve & all the best, Sandra BLUE Guide Manager

Thanks for keeping us safe during our visit to your hotel. Great Covid measures in place, the hotel is absolutely spotless in every area, special mention to cleaners who are often forgotten. Tui Blue App works very well keeping you informed of what is going on in the hotel from activities to entertainment the best part is being able to book your slot for breakfast and dinner. Food is of a very high standard with lots of choice for all tastes which is nicely presented and served to you by staff all adhering to social distancing rules . The wearing of fase masks are mandatory in the restaurant when choosing your food and also in all hotel areas inside ....but this is not a problem and everyone sticks to the rules. Hotel does have an All Inclusive option which is used by the majority wee were half board and we found the drinks rather expensive but of a good quality (International Brands) local brands on AI. Pool area and gardens are also well kept. Overall we had a fabulous time and would return as we have holidayed in this area many times .

We spent an enjoyable 6 nights at the Tui Blue last March and highly recommend it. We had a lovely sea view room on the 1st floor which offered us plenty of comfort with a large bed, a walk-in shower, a seating area and a balcony which was just perfect for relaxing on. The whole complex was spotlessly clean and we felt very safe with all the hygiene measures that was put in place due to Covid19. Breakfast and dinner were surprising good too with plenty of choices available and staff on hand if needed. Location wise the hotel is set up on a cliff with many steps to negotiate to the beach so not in the best position if you don’t want to walk too far. Daytimes we spent on Falesia beach enjoying the exceptionally warm weather for the time of year and one day we caught a taxi to Vilamoura and then walked back along the beach and we found this a great way to spend the day. If the weather does take a turn for the worse then there is always the indoor pool to take advantage off or do one of the organised activities on offer. Evenings times there is the lounge bar with entertainment which was basically one man and his guitar but apart from this there wasn’t much else to do. As an alternative the centre of town is only a short walk away giving you more options. So, in summary we really had an enjoyable stay here, it’s certainly an excellent hotel for an off-season break, and we look forward to returning here sometime in the future especially when the Covid19 pandemic allows us to do so.

We let the hotel know in advance we were celebrating there. As a treat, they left a complimentary bottle of wine in our room for us to enjoy to make our stay with them more special. Our views from our balconies was amazing as we were allocated a corner bedroom (room 2010), and had a double balcony, giving views to the sea and beautifully kept gardens. The bed as in previous reviews is very comfortable and huge. The bathroom has a very large shower in it, extra large sink, and all is cleaned to a very high standard.
Food was a very large buffet in the restaurant, with different sections for starters, mains, desserts but also vegans, which was all presented very well.
Used the indoor pool, steam room and sauna, which was a nice addition, plus we used the beauticians there for a relaxing massage which was lovely.
We also used the gym a few times which not only has all the equipment you need, but whilst exercising you have beautiful views to the gardens! We also used a couple of sessions you book via the hotel app for free, which was a ‘Latin dance’ exercise class and also a ‘stretch’ class which we enjoyed and benefitted from, and the instructors were qualified as you could tell they knew what they were talking about and hadn’t just ‘learnt on the job’.
The beach!! Wow! It’s a five minute scenic stroll from the hotel via secure platformed decking. There is one beautifully clean sandy beach which you can walk on for a very long time, plus there is a small sandy cove which you can walk to, to just sit and read, or daydream and watch the waves roll in.
We got a 20 minute taxi ride (€20 plus tip), to villamoura harbour, which has a buzz with all the restaurants and bars, but because of a football match being watched in the bars there that particular night, it wasn’t for us, but probably other evening it would have been better.
We will definitely go back to Portugal and this particular hotel, as it has beautiful gardens, staff are polite, and food is lovely. (Due to the pandemic at the moment there is hand sanitizer everywhere, and everywhere is spotlessly clean).
We had private taxi from airport to hotel, which only takes 30 minutes.
This hotel is for you if you want an adults only, chilled out relaxing hotel.
ENJOY😉

Dear chewbackerEngland, Thank you very much for your preference choosing TUI BLUE Falésia to stay during your time in Algarve. We would like also to thank you for your time to give us an amazing feedback. We are very happy to know that your expectations were absolutely satisfied. We couldn't skip the chance to greet you somehow regarding your celebrations. About the food options, of course we have a vegan corner, we care and respect our guests choices and at the same time would like to show our guests how tasty is vegan food as well. After reading your words related with the BLUEf!t activities, the main reason why we have a limit of booking is exactly what you mentioned before, as each people have specific limitations and our instructors are very qualified, only by this way we could match your interests or limits and give you an excellent service. So we are also very happy that you had a great time in our classes. We would love to receive your visit again in our TUI BLUE Falésia! :) Sunny greetings, Pedro - BLUE GUIDE Ass. Marketing & Media

You have to walk all the way round past 3hb Guarana hotel. That was a bit of a pain as it is quite a walk round.
