I stayed here about 10 years ago and amazingly remembered almost nothing about the place except this beautiful wooden playground for kids which, alas, they have mostly removed. Anyway, my kids have since grown and they continued to really like this property. We had two connecting junior suites with park views, which is fine because hardly any of the rooms here actually see the lake with a real view because the hotel is set back far from the lake. I wouldn't bother to pay for a lake view here.
The indoor pool and gym are excellent and there are some cool amenities in the gym such as this basketball coordination training game. There is a bathing suit spinner as well. Showers in the spa are very good. Food here is a big plus, and our dinner in the lobby brasserie was one of the best meals of our 2 week trip across Europe. The risotto was outstanding and so were the desserts. Yes, the F&B is expensive but it's no more than a Manhattan restaurant and the quality is in the top 10% with some food flair that goes beyond the average at this level. Breakfast here is also strong and eggs come out perfectly timed. Pre-arrival concierge was helpful and we found the place very classy but without snooty staff. We asked to be seated in the Chinese restaurant for dessert and the manager seated us, and other managers were very nice about assisting us throughout our stay. The theme throughout the resort is of an African safari with a touch of shishi such as a DJ in the evenings on the weekends. The location is not within walking distance of central Geneva; the boat ride is a lot of fun and saves you a $35 taxi ride which can take 20 minutes during the business day. Hotel is less than a 10 minute ride from the airport. I really like this place if you are coming to Geneva and want a resort experience just outside the city. The place is beautifully decorated and the outdoor scenery is very relaxing. Instead of reserving a room overnight in case of an early morning check-in, consider crashing off an overnight flight at an airport hotel such as the Movenpick at GVA.

I am a London hotelier and travel through Geneva quite frequently on my way to our holiday home in Gstaad. I have tried many hotels in Geneva over the years and this comes out on top for me. Service was beyond amazing, the concierge mailed back some suit pants that I had forgotten in the room to my home in Gstaad. Leaves a nice feeling after you leave. The Spa, the gardens and the front entrance are heavenly. F &B was solid. The only area for improvement I would say is the interior design; the rooms, corridors and public areas haven't changed much since I was in school nearby 15 years ago. I know the hotel was designed by Philippe Starck but it doesn't hurt to change things up a little, feels a little shabby for the prices you are charging....

We never expected such a beautiful place at the lake of Geneva. The African lodge inspired interior is great and all staff are very friendly and helpful.
A special thank you to Ms. Kelly from the Front Desk for her support with the extension of our stay.
What is unique is the complimentary boat transfer to the city center, which makes it super convenient and fun to get there.

Despite the current Covid-19 situation, we felt super safe as inside, everyone was wearing a mask and the hotel took all safety measures.

Very good breakfast buffet with a big choice and wonderful view from the terrace to the Mont Blanc Mountain and Lake.

You really get excellent value for the price (e.g. free parking!).
We really want to come back to this beautiful hotel again.

On 26/Feb I wanted to treat my mom to a pampering experience for her birthday while we were visiting Geneva and I thought that the Spa at La Reserve would be as spectacular as it’s reputation and prices but it was a really bad experience
:( And we have both done a lot of traveling and had our share of five star luxury Spas all over the world.

1. First of all, the lack of basic amenities in the ladies section, only non branded lotions and shampoos and cotton buds! All luxury spas have for example deodorant, face lotion, makeup remover...etc. you get the idea.

2. We booked two distressing massaging for 400 Franks but unfortunately my massage was average and when I asked the therapist I need a stronger pressure she said I can’t! My mom had even a worst experience as her bad therapist has bad attitude, my mom was trying to explain to her in very basic English since the therapist’s English was bad that the pressure was very light but she didn’t even care, I specifically booked this type of massage because it’s supposed to be a deep tissue one but ended up with a soft touch!

3. Also my mom wanted to stay in the room for 5 minutes just after the massage just to properly adjust but the therapist very rudely told her no and that she had to come out now and go change! Although all spas let you stay for even longer than that to relax.

4. The snack bar is a joke with very little variety and not hygienic at all as people were putting their hands in the jars to get the nuts out! When I mentioned that to the lady she said her manager refused to put a sign!

5. The lady at the reception was very nice after we finished and accepted the feedback but said since there are no managers present at the moment she offered another 30 minute session the next day which we didn’t accept because we didn’t like it there so she offered only a 10% discount which was a joke for the price we had to pay.

6. Almost all spas at hotels allow you to use the pool or beach or whatever facilities but here they ask for an extra 130 franks to use the small indoor pool!

Really sad about this experience :(

The Hotel is exactly the way it is described on the website “Surrounded by a beautifully landscaped park of 10 acres, on the shores of Lake Geneva, the luxurious 5-star La Reserve Genève Hotel & Spa offers you indoor and outdoor pools and 4 restaurants and a bar”.
A visitor cannot help but notice, a number of supercars i.e. Ferraris and other exotics on display in front of the Hotel entrance true to type with the image of “La Reserve” as a place for the rich and famous.
My first visit to the bar was exactly what one would expect from such an establishment. The waiters and waitresses were fast on their feet, very polite and accommodating. The coffee was exceptionally good, which is not usually the case in big hotels. A small but interesting menu with reasonably priced tapas was rushed to my table. I told the waiter that I would be coming back in a couple of days for a drink and the tapas. He recommended Thursday because there would be live music and that the bar would be hopping with people.
For the purpose of clarity a distinction can be drawn between restaurant service and waiter performance. Excellent service, in my vocabulary, implies that the quality of a product offered by an establishment be it food or drink is commensurate to the on the job performance of the waiter/waitress. However, it is entirely possible that a customer is attended by an outstanding waiter/waitress but gets served a terrible meal or vice versa.
When I arrived early evening that Thursday, a waiter asked me what I would like to drink. I told him that I would do so after looking at the small tapas menu. Much to my surprise I was given a “new and very different menu” in which there was a notable increase in prices. The waiter explained “that the new menu was the inspiration of a new chef who has just arrived”. When I asked the bartender for list of drinks he did not bring one but said instead “We can fix you any drink you want”. I thought not having such a list was a rather odd occurrence for a hotel of such caliber. Be it as it may, I ordered a nonalcoholic ice tea and a tapas styled Humus from the “new menu”. The 16,00 CHF ice tea was very good and refreshing but the Humus was miserably tasteless and watery. When I complained to the bartender about it he took it back, no questions asked, and assured me that he would soon be offering something else as a replacement. That something else never came.
While waiting uncomfortably silent for the promised replacement the evening musical program went on. It turned out to be a disappointment thanks to a female singer in really poor voice. Fearing that the avalanche of the evening`s bad experiences would continue I asked the waiter for the check to speed up my departure. Unsurprisingly, it was only then that the manager (Juliet) came to my table to ask whether everything was all right, something she should have done after the first sign of discomfort with the Humus. She listened carefully to what I had to say and was mildly apologetic about what transpired that evening. The Humus was taken off the check.

Dear Mr. George, Thank you very much for taking the time to give us such a detailed feedback; I am sorry to read that your second experience at the bar was a disappointment. Regarding the cocktail menu and the replacement of the Hummus dish, the waiter should have adapted his response to your desired and needs. I am sorry for that and Juliet did talk to her teams about it, so that this does not happen again. As far as the prices are concerned, I am quite surprised by your remark as we have slightly decreased the prices. Juliet took your feedback seriously, and she took measures so that this situation does not occur again. Feel free to contact her directly (the details are on the business card she gave you), she would be more than delighted to welcome you back and provide you with a better experience. Best regards,

I booked a table in the Loti restaurant for a wedding anniversary celebration. I had booked a table on the terrace and we were told it wasn’t available. In fact it was, but these things can happen. Then we waited half an hour for our drink order to arrive and for someone to take a food order; again, these things can happen. Then we waited an hour between the starter course and main course. It wasn’t a busy night, but even so no one came to reassure us or apologize, even when we had politely inquired twice after 50 minutes if our food might be arriving. These things shouldn’t happen. Eventually we gave up and asked for the bill, they just acted as if this was perfectly normal. No one apologized, the extremely unpleasant waitress just silently brought the bill and stood over us while we paid, without so much as a word until a very awkward and insincere apology when we pointed out that this was rude. We left hungry, and explained what had happened to the manager on leaving because we didn’t want others to have the same experience we had had

Perhaps this hotel/restaurant deals with difficult and wealthy people so frequently that they have lost the ability to tell the difference between handling a demanding client and treating people in an appalling way. I’m confident we fell Into the latter category.

In summary, don’t go here if you are the kind of person who thinks going out to an expensive restaurant for a treat is worthy of basic common courtesy by the service staff. We had really looked forward to the evening and it was a depressing night

This hotel is heavily advertised as a family resort and they do indeed try hard. However, if you come to this place with your young kids who are hungry on different times than you and you actually want to enjoy your stay you are also dependent upon it being possible to eat a samdwich by the pool and enjoy a drink while watching the kids. At the moment my best tip if you’re going there with kids is to grab a sandwich at the ENI station nearby the hotel to avoid to have to choose from spending a couple of hours in the room waiting for room service or having to take your kids to the restaurant. I do understand the lack of service was due to the hotel being short of staff, but with several people working by the pool anyway it would have been no problem to organise room service deliveries of simple lunch boxes to the pool. Also charging almost CHF 600 for a return trip to Geneva with a boat or is a very good way of making sure the service is only used by people who do not think at all about what they are buying. Those two items in particular is not what you expect from a five star hotel who already charges top dollar for the rooms.

This year I was looking for a vacation place not so far from my home and discovered by pure chance La Réserve Geneva.
The place is great, very convenient, just close to the Geneva airport and only 20 minutes by boat (the motoscafo, courtesy of the hotel) to the center of Geneva. Rooms are nicely decorated and furnished. Mine - the Mont Blanc Lake Suite - has a large terrace overlooking the park and the lake. Interior of the hotel exudes a chic and cosy atmosphere, although a little bit dark. Pool area is OK, but pool service is missing. Both restaurants, the Lodge and Tse Fung, are comfortably set with large open air terrace (a must in Covid time), and serves good food - Tse Fung being Michelin stared. Spa treatment is enjoyable, well executed. Staff in general is very helpful, attentive, cheerful and very professional, up to the standard of 5 stars hotels & resorts.
In summary la Reserve Geneva is a very recommendable place for its convenience and high standard, while still managing to make you feel at home.

Starting with the concierge, they were very organized and my bag went to my room as well as a couple of bags filled with some items I bought on my way to the hotel. Reception was very kind and professional as well. The management was very generous by sending me fresh treats to my room on daily basis, while the massage in their spa was so relaxing and refreshing at the same time.
I would definitely return, recommend, and use this hotel.

First off, a bit of expectation modification is helpful. This is a predominantly two-story hotel with a few rooms on the third floor. I booked the highest room category that didn’t have “suite” in the name (Deluxe Room with Lake View). There were only two of us and we didn’t think we need the extra space. When we arrived around 7:30 pm we were assigned the only remaining “Deluxe Room with Lake view”. We were underwhelmed and disappointed. See the attached photo. This might have been a “deluxe” room depending on one”s standards but not a deluxe lake view. We were also disappointed when we realized there were no windows that opened in our room and didn’t feel comfortable sleeping with the door to a ground floor patio open. We were looking forward to a break from AC with the cool evening air in Lake Geneva and surrounds.

We were reassigned to a 3rd floor Deluxe Room with Lake View the 2nd night and the view of the lake was much better but there are very view rooms with what I would call “deluxe lake views”. The hotel is hip but not exclusively so. The best plus is the complimentary Riva boat transport to the central lakefront area of Geneva. The staff is awesome. The hotel decor is exquisite. The pool is fabulous. So, stay here. Ask for a third floor room. Please note room 308 is configured for those with disabilities so if you are sensitive to that request another while if you need that request 308. We would stay here again.

Dear Guest, I am Laurent Branover, the General Manager of La Réserve. First of all I apologize for not having replied earlier as I just see your question. This case is currently followed by the police and therefore we do not wish to communicate it via social networks. We did everything in our power that day to help those customers. Then we try to get in touch with them directly , but without real success. Be certain and reassured that our hotel is monitored 24 hours a day and 7 days a week by security agents and we have in place an effective system of surveillance cameras. I would be pleased to speak to you in person about that. I hope and I am looking forward to welcoming you at La Réserve Sincerely, Laurent Branover
