The igloo was cold. Even when the heater was adjusted to 26 degrees celcius, the huge glasses made it really cold. The other igloos were uncomfortably close, didn't feel private at all, even with the curtains closed. There was a water kettle, but no teabags, and the coffee machine was subpar. Other than that it was alright, nothing special. Food that was in the "dinner package" was mediocre, certainly not worth the money. Also breakfast wasn't all that great considering a night at the igloo cost over 300 euros (almost 450 euros, if you count in the "dinner package"). Would not recommend for this price.
We stayed in the Tuiske iglu with all inclusive package. The iglu was located by the beach. Amazingly beautifull two rooms iglu. Dinner expectations were not high, but the food was delicious. Can highly recommend the Tuiske room and all inclusive ”hemmotelu” package.
We had the pampering holiday package for 2 nights in the glass igloo. Delicious 3 course meal in restaurant Loimu. Friendly staff. Great sauna facilities and possibility for ice bathing in the lake. Perfect cross-country skiing tracks in the vicinity of the resort. I would highly recommend Revontuli resort for a short holiday.
The stay at the Malla-igloo was nice because of the big windows with a view to the lake. It was a snowy weather during our stay, but the possibility to melt the ice/snow on the windows made it much better. The igloo is pretty big for two, but the toilet in the igloo was too little: it was almost impossible to close the door while sitting on the toilet. Apart from the Malla-igloo, I would say that the resort itself was old-fashioned and overrated. Both dinner and breakfast were below average and didn't live up to our expectations.
Well spent mini holiday! The igloo was great in overall: tidy, well equipped igloo with a gorgeous panoramic view to the lake. We had the pampering package which was definitely value for money. 3 course menu was very delicious. As a minus, the waiting time between the courses was too long. Lake sauna and hot tub is a nice addition, except we couldn't use the hot tub as one group spent almost whole sauna shift in the tub. As a tip to the resort would be to have a booking system for sauna/hot tub shifts to avoid packed sauna/tub, mixed with few groups (especially during corona time) and that everyone would have a chance for it. :) In overall, we loved the place in point of the room and food, and will definitely visit again when the sauna shifts are fixed :)
Very nice wiew to The sky from bed. We had a little trouble with The bed, cause it was two separete beds side by side. We wanted to sleep close to eachothers but they slided all The time 😀 and The ”cabin” was heated with aircondition and there was a little chilly eventhough it was not very cold outside(+5celcius) The cabin was very silent, clean and peaceful🙏🏻 Restaurant Loimu treated us well eventhough there was Only a few people dining because of The coronatimes👍
We had a small cottage 100m from golf course. Course has wide fairways though actually it doesn't matter; If you don't hit the fairway, you find your ball anyway. If You enjoy clean nature and silence, this is Your place.
I am happy to share my experience. In Hanksalmi Revontuli they have bran new bowling hall, one of most beutifull Golf course and accomondations. I like a new hamburger restaurant and very kind service. It's easy to recomend place for every active travellers.
We were staying in Revontuli during the summer for five nights and it was great. Really good food, friendly stuff, clean and comfortable rooms and great wellness options (saunas) right next to the lake. All-in-all a 5 star stay for me.
Maybe you would think that Hankasalmi hasn't got much to offer, but it has it hidden gem - Revontuli. It's located next to an amazing lake which will cool you just enough after sauna. Overall the food's great, staff's kiind and it's really worth the trip!
