If you're searching for a peaceful location in the heart of lake Saimaa, this is it! We stayed for two nights in their scenery suites. It was well made: a big bed, small fireplace, small kitchen and toilet with a shower. The cherry on top was the view from the bed with a glass roof so you can see the stars. As this is a rather remote location, you enjoy the facilities Järvisydän provides: their spa with different saunas, lake view, good food and activities. We tried their eFatbikes and it was fun for someone with no experience with such bikes. This is a good location for couples, and though the place was fully booked, it was peaceful and roomy for everyone. I can highly recommend this place for a trip in Finland.
Thank you for great service and hospitality. We had good offer for cottage renting (2 nights / 1 day price) . There wasn't that many visitors during those days. Restaurants were of course closed. Visit in Spa was nice. There was only 20-30 people at same time. We did also got offer for renting canoe + Spa with good price. We did already have one day rent for canoe before with normal price. The offer was also wise because with normal price we woudn’t have get both for same day. This way they were able sell more .. win-win situation with customer. We ordered breakfast service at room for last morning. Timing was as promised, quality was very good and serving size was good. Nature in that area is perfect .. just check internet and enjoy Saimaa atmosphere. Its not needed to…
We were lucky enough to have been booked here as part of our tour. In saying that we were also unlucky as we were only staying one night. Our group were all booked into the scenery suites and they were beautiful. Would have liked some more coffee pods (we only had one) but very nice. Bit disappointed that a visit to the spa would have cost a fair bit more, so we did skip this, would have been nice after a long bus trip. The restaurant and food were very good, definitely didn't go hungry, and breakfast next morning more than enough. Would have liked to spend an extra day exploring, but hopefully we might make it back one day.
Despite some issues during booking process, the Christmas visit itself to Järvisydän turned out to be wonderful. The resort has a very beautiful setting by Saimaa lake "in the middle of nowhere" in Eastern Finland. The rustic style hotel suite with a bedroom, alcove, balcony, kitchenette and a hot tub was very atmospheric and comfortable. The hotel spa is great with beautiful pools, many saunas, steam rooms and showers. Some snacks and refreshments were also included in the ticket. Buffet breakfasts, Chrismas dinner and lunch were fresh and delicious with high quality tradtional Finnish dishes. Highly recommended.
Booked a stay for one night at Järvisydän 24th-25th of december. We we’re lucky to get a room, since most were sold out as Christmas packages for 2-3 day stays. At arrival the area looked absolutely stunning and cozy! Real winter wonderland. The room was clean and cozy (+ for huge bed!) but we could hear EVERYTHING the bickering couple next door were saying. What disappointed us the most tho, was that the spa closed at 6pm instead of 8pm as was informed on the website last time we checked. Apparently there were special opening hours due to Christmas, which probably wouldn’t have bothered the people staying multiple days, but for us who drove 5h and arrived at 4pm, after checking in (reception wasn’t open, got the keys from the bar but no info on the reception door where to get…
