Really enjoyed my stay on this spa. Saunas were innovative and there were six of them! Favourite one of the saunas was propably the sight-seeing sauna and the hamam one (angel sauna). Best pool was the outside one, with lakewater. There was also an option to swim in the lake. Not many inside pools, but the scenery is amazing. The wooden interior is made by using 500 year old snags! Also upstairs you get free tea, flavored water and snacks! Poolbar is also located upstairs.
We stayed for one night in the suite with a glass ceiling. The atmosphere was very romantic, with rustic design, candles and a fireplace. The suite has a small kitchenette area and a larger sleeping area with huge windows, as well as a small but adequate bathroom. There is no tv. Unfortunately the sky was completely overcast, so we couldn't really enjoy the view, but that's not the hotel's fault and is to be expected. The service at the reception was fine, but we only used it for checking in and out. Our stay would have included a wine-tasting, but due to the pandemic situation we chose to forgo that, as well as the spa. I've visited the spa earlier, though, and find it really nice and enjoyable. The common saunas are a plus, because for once you can actually go to sauna with…
Visited Järvisydän Spa Resort and our experience was a disaster. High pricing, untidy accommodation, service was average and restaurant services were average-. On top we got wrong order at the restaurant which made an one hour delay for our visit. After propriate feed back no compensation. In my ranking very low quality and in numbers 3/10. - Never again -
I think this place has growing pains, plenty if potential but misses the mark for a really upscale experience. They are expanding too fast and forgetting the little things that really make the guest feel important and looked after. Positives: - nice nature and activities, - super friendly staff, - good, relaxing, adult-friendly spa -well priced good food. Negatives: - no soundproofing in the hotel. Luckily they moved us to a seperate scenic room after complaining. I could hear the detailed discussions of our neighbor's on our first night in our 300€ suite... Note to hotel provider, you should have ear plugs available at reception if not in room. - there is no complimentary coffee in the room and a few lousy tea bags. - the toiletries in the bathroom are low scale -…
There are so few high end efforts in Finland that Jarvisydan gets away with too many flaws. I leave the style to matter of taste, rustic and kitschy come to mind, let's say best taken with some sense of humor. Rooms are spacious and well fitted. To my surprise I was given the worst in the property, 107, even when booking direct. Beware and decline if offered, you'll be woken up by service trucks loading right on the other side of the wall from 6AM onwards. Stranger still was the set dinner, a disaster beyond matter of taste, a well cooked tangy piece of meat, returned to the kitchen. No other response but the full and hefty bill. Since buffet at lunch is pretty good, the kitchen is not without competence, don't repeat my mistake, go for dinner buffet if on offer. Activities…
