In Järvisydäme, the systematic continuity of style from one building to another is delightful: the personal interior and the buildings create a beautiful setting.
We stayed in the hotel in the main building in a suite on the top floor. The room height of the suite was great and you have a great view of Saimaa. The suite was equipped with two toilets and a jacuzzi. Unfortunately, the comfort was not close to the level of the suite in all respects: the pillows were miserable and lumpy and the bed was of a really poor standard.
The spa was wonderful and atmospheric. We especially liked the saunas and the atmosphere. A plus point is that the spa offered some salty snacks and tea to enjoy while bathing. We decided to upgrade the second day's spa visit to a romantic candlelight spa visit. Unfortunately, that upgrade (+32e/person) cannot be recommended: the additional fee brought a small treatment product and a 0.375 bottle of scum and a modest treat tray for the couple. I was also surprised by the fact that the improvement did not come in addition to the original quality level, but despite the upgrade, normal spa services (tea + snacks) were no longer available. This is strange, because usually an upgrade adds more things to the basic level. There were hardly any advertised candles either, but mostly plastic flowers had been added. No value for money with this content.
Among the activities, we participated in e-fatbike cycling and a fisherman's lunch. E-fatbike can be recommended, great routes and good bikes. At the fisherman's lunch, the experience and joint participation would be significantly increased by the fact that the soup would be "made together" (pre-boiled potatoes and other soup needs would be assembled into soup by the fire). Now the finished soup was brought to the campfire covered under foil.
The dinner on the first night at the bistro was downright miserable, the quality and taste of the pizza was closest to Saarioinen's splash flap, the price of 20e was unfathomable for that quality.
On the second night, we had dinner at the restaurant maid's menu of the day. Unfortunately, this was also a big disappointment. The main dishes (fish + meat) were both cool when they arrived at the table. In addition, the fish of the day was partly raw (the skin did not come off). The service was good but the food did not convince.
It was really sad that the food supply in the restaurants was so poor. I understand that in this world situation it is difficult to get kitchen staff, but the quality of the food should be improved. In this location of the hotel, the customers have almost no options when it comes to dining.
Järvisydän was cozy as a whole, but unfortunately the things essential to comfort on vacation (food and sleeping environment) left a lot to be desired and in these respects the whole needs to be improved.

We stayed in a villa 7.-9.3. The villa was very spacious and in a nice location. I especially liked those big windows. It was very nice that every room had own toilet and shower so there is privacy. Big balcony/terrace was amazing too.
Cleanliness was ok, but one room had big spider web in it and it had been there for a long time. Also in one room faucet was leaking into the drawer. Windows were little dirty. Karaoke was missing in the villa when we arrived. It was promised on the website. We got that after all, thanks to the maintenance person! But you had to pay more to the Singa app if you wanted to sing more than 3 songs.. Website should be updated with correct information. TV can't be watched because there was no signal.. Lightning was inadequate, many lights had gone out. Also the lights shorted out once, but thanks again to the same maintenance person, who fixed that. Rooms didn't have blinds which is mandatory thing in my opinion. The villa wasn't quite worth of the high price.
Customer service was a little incompetent, they were unsure about many things. The service was very variable as a whole.
Breakfast and lunch were good, but dinner in the bistro was just average. There were missing ingredients. Food in the bistro menu isn't quite worth of the price.
The spa was nice and cozy! Different kind of saunas and one main pool. Inside the spa temperature is very warm all the time and it is so nice. But locker rooms are way too small and narrow. Lockers are also too small, especially at the winter time when you have thick coat and more clothing etc.
Five years ago Järvisydän was 5/5 experience, but some things have changed. Lots of the little things to pay attention to. But overall the environment was beautiful and this was a nice trip.

This is a very large resort in the “middle of nowhere” with access to a large lake. Style is very rustic, but comfortable. Staff in the safari lodge are super helpful and can organize lots of activities like canoeing, bike rides or boat tours. Spa is also in a separate building and in my view not worth the 34 EUR entrance fee - two small pool and a few saunas. Especially as there is a like side beach right next to it. Our room (up on the hill) was fully equipped with a kitchen, sauna and washing machine (which nobody was able to explain us how to operate). Breakfast is Finnish standard plus a (very popular) waffle maker. Food in the bistro was not very good. Free parking on the premises and also some (quite expensive) chargers.

Planning & booking -,2/5 We are 60+ Finnish couple and during last 2-3 years we have been visiting many spas in Finland. We claim to have some experience - and expectations too. So we were interested of this place but their web page has quite limited information (and now after visit: very limited information). So we called them to get some answers and the first negative feeling came when we learned that you have to pay the call (a service number). However we got the answers, download their App and made reservation for 3 nights - price was reasonable and competitive. Using their App we booked (and paid) table in restaurant and some vouchers too. None of them were visible in the App and it required few emails to get them confirmed - and still they were not visible in the App. I love Apps - but they have to work and make users feel good.
Day 1 - 2/5 Place is lovely - the theme in all buildings and decoration is “old log cottage” style. We had “scenery suite” (a cottage) for two with glass bedroom walls and ceiling - really nice, but really for two only. High hills to walk, so guidance for people with limitations should be told before the booking. Dinner was great, wines are crazy prices - but that is everywhere in Finland. After dinner 10pm back to cottage and there was terrible sewer smell all over there and we asked help - the reception handled it very well and we got a bigger cottage - and two free drinking coupons - upgrade and we were finally in the bed after all packing and unpacking around 11.30 pm. With mixed feelings.
Day 2 - 3/5 Breakfast was good, but no signs of what different foods are, are they GL, L etc. - not that important to us, but very important to many. Some things we cold. Spa. The picture (attached) in their web site is beautiful, but that is all you get - this is a sauna spa, swimming is not really possible, other than outside lake, now very cold.. Some reason the scenery sauna was closed (why?). One sauna was big but rest max. 4-6 people and in some the floor was very slippery and very hot - us being 60+ means that we can still rock and roll but we are not panthers anymore, so for us safety was a big concern. No proper rails in them right height etc. Not feeling safe in many places due to very slippery floor and the dimmed lights did not help. Not a place for children either. No gym any where in the area, nor in hotel. Dinner was really lovely. High hill walk back to cottage on the slippery road.
Day 3 - 3/5 Cottage is nice. Lovely view, nice walking. Breakfast good - as before. Spa day 2 - pre-paid entry tickets now not visible in their computer, but after some talking with got in there anyway - but needed to go back to show my reservation confirmation afterwards - nothing the App again. This was not a tourist season, so space in spa enough everywhere , but more than 50-60 people would be bad. Bar dinner and environment was great.
Day 4 - check-out 4/5 All worked well although 11am is a bit early compared that you get rooms 3pm earliest.

If you have to choose between this and another spa. Choose the other one. In this place, relaxation is far away when you try to squeeze into the only pool where children jump despite the prohibitions. The place invested more in saunas, but I missed, for example, a jacuzzi, cold and hot water pool, etc. other pools that are usually found in spas.
Place too hyped. I still haven't received friendly customer service, everyone's face is rolled or they don't speak Finnish. You get the feeling that "I'm sorry I even ordered a glass of water" etc.
The only positive, beautiful place, good concept and great food

Price and quality really don't match. The setting is great, but that's about it. Superior suite, with sauna and jacuzzi: The jacuzzi didn't work. The faucets were disconnected and broken, the bottom valve was broken and there was no hot water. And when the faucets didn't close properly, we got to enjoy the "whistling" that was repeated throughout the night.. The sauna heater is mostly a joke. The wine tasting started 20 minutes late, the band playing downstairs was so noisy that I couldn't hear anything from the speaker. Otherwise, the whole tasting was rushed through. Not good. The warm snacks on the Tulimenu were cold, the whitefish on offer was the worst fish dish ever eaten anywhere, and in any case, the food selection on the set was a really anemic presentation considering its outrageous price. The thump of the band that performed in the evening could be heard in the room, and the group of Känni people in the corridor had its own story. After all, the breakfast was varied and good. I didn't go to the spa even though it was included in the package. Quite disappointed was the feeling that we just wanted to get out of there as soon as breakfast was finished. It was truly a "once in a lifetime experience" for us. 500e/day + other purchases in addition really gives the right to expect value for money. This was a bitter disappointment, we won't come again.

I spent a couple of days with some friends at Järvisydän resort for a birthday. It was a fantastic facility with great aesthetic values; the main hotel building in the lakeside built of stone and timber where one wall is made up of a rock, a spa in similar style and a huge number of luxury villas and cabins on the slope above. The interior in the hotel rooms followed the same building style and the rooms were cozy and fully equipped. We had dinner in two restaurants, the Fire Kitchen and the Savonian kota, the food was good although the menus were quite scarce. The breakfast was really good except the coffee (lukewarm and not very tasty). The biggest problem was the service (speed and quality) due to a very small number of staff. Check in and out were both really boring and took several minutes per guest although most of the guests had checked in already online prior to their arrival. Also the entry procedures to the spa took several minutes. Seemed to be inadequate processes and systems.

We arrived after a long drive (in a dreadful Finnish November weather) late on Friday night. The reception area was beautiful but there were only two receptionists so people had to wait to be checked in.
As we hadn’t realised that the resort would be so busy we hadn’t made any dinner reservations. Luckily they were able to book us tables for both nights, one being in the nearby Kuru resort.
Because of the time of the day and the weather it was a bit of a challenge to find our panoramic suite. It was very dark, there really should be better signs and footpaths leading to the panoramic suites area.
The suite itself was clean and pretty, and had its own sauna and hot tub which was lovely.
The spa is rather small but has lovely saunas and access to the lake even in November. We really enjoyed a dip in the cold lake and then hot sauna afterwards. It is a good idea that the children’s pool area is separated from the main area by a glass window. We weren’t told that the spa entrance included free fruit, berries and green tea, we just happened to stumble across it.
The dinner at the fire restaurant was good and we enjoyed the traditional Finnish food. However, the service was very slow especially when our reservation was for 8.30pm. The waiter also didn’t remember that we had asked for the cheese board which was actually a good thing as we had had plenty enough to eat.
All in all, the stay at Järvisydän was very relaxing. However, the standard of service varied a lot and that is something they should pay more attention to.

To be honest, this place is a little overrated. Yes, a very beautiful building, premises and room. It should also be noted that in December everything was very beautifully decorated for Christmas and turned out beautiful photos. The spa is picturesque, but very small, fortunately, there was a fee for evening attendance and the crowd was small. "Tulimenu" , complex dinner - disappointment. Poorly designed service, food for a three. Wine tasting is not worth it, I write as someone who has long been interested in wine. Anyway, if you can go with a good discount, you can go once. Not for the full price.

We had a little christmas party with 10 friends. The accommodation at cabin was nice, we have been here before. Breakfast was good as well, but the buffet dinner in the evening was not so good and quite expensive for quality. I have eaten here many times before, and this was the worst culinary experience so far.
