Junior suite with separate bed room, sauna and full kitchen was a great choice. There was no breakfast but the customers could use the Break Sokos Hotel Tahko restaurant at the price of 15 euros. Wifi needs to be fixed, it does not work fluently. For some reason, not even our phones own mobile data did not worked well at the room. Garage the the basement makes easy to take your luggages to the elevator. I appreciated the washing machine and the sauna which is ready to use all the time. Tahko Spa Suites hotel gym is very good and there is enough air even in hot weather. There is everything you could think for some serious gym work out. The staff is very friendly and for example gave as a free tickets to the gym as it was not busy time. They also arranged so that the cooling at the room was already on, when we arrived. Not every room has a cooling air conditioning so make sure that yours has if it is summer time. Tips to the good restaurants vere good and usefull. Would stay at Tahko Spa Suites another time, when in Tahko.

We had a lovely winter holiday in Tahko . The Nilsiä area is extremelly beautiful. A lot of white snow everywhere. The weather was typical and traditional finnish winter that is nowadays unusual in Helsinki. (About - 10 celcius.) I would like to spend a Christmas there. The Spa suites Orange B 8 was a beautiful, smart, well designed and comfortable apartment near Tahko ski centre. The living room was luxury and spacious and the bedrooms were very guiet. There were bathrooms for both bedrooms and also a sauna with shover and toilet. We did downhill skiing for five days. The lifts and hills were on the other side of the lake. It could have been possible to walk there but we preferred driving there. The hills were not very long but for us demanding enough. We did also cross country skiing. There were a lot of well done ski tracks and the landscape is wonderfull. I wish we had had more time for that. The Tahko Spa swimming hall was too crowded and small. I recommend Tahko mostly for families. The nightlife was not so superb.

We had a two bedroom apartment with balcony. The indoors were great: each bedroom had own toilet / shower and rooms were spacious. There were some issues, too. Biggest wad security: the hotel does not have (physical) keys or keycards - just a short (4 digit) PIN. There are no safety chain in the room. Anyone who knows (or guesses) the PIN can enter the room. Aircon engine was on the balcony. It was noisy and heated the balcony to unbearable warm. Kitchen equipment were difficult to use (actually impossible without reading user manuals first). Apartments are centrally located and all services are nearby. Each apartment has a parking spot in carage.

The suites were amazing, everything was clean and organized, there were great Iittala tableware, ours was 6 person suite, divided into 2 person rooms, every room has its own wc and shower. There's everything you need in the kitchen (microwave, fridge, oven..) and sauna.

We had an enjoyable short family holiday in Tahko Spa Suites. We opted for a a two bedroom apartment on a self catering basis. The apartment was excellent, there was two bedrooms, a large living area, two separate toilets and showers and a kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, oven, ice cube machine, coffee machine etc. It was clean, nicely decorated and had a big balcony. Furthermore, there was a large and relaxing private sauna which has timer so you can set it to be warm/hot when you're back from the slopes. They have a warm garage with a direct elevator acces to the floor where you're apatrtment is. The hotel is located few hundred meters from the slopes, some restaurants, ski shops and ski school. Nice activities like husky or snowmobile drive, swimming, bowling and gym are easily accessible. If you're looking for a relaxing skiing holiday within a relatively short drive from the capital area, Tahko and Spa Suites is recommended. It won't be the nucleous of culinarism, but with you're own kitchen that thing is easily fixed.

Very nice and big suite with 2 bedrooms, sauna and big balcony. All the needed equipment in the suite, for example washing machine, drier and dish washer. We really enjoyed our stay there. Nice big balcony which was warm even in the autumn. Underground parking. View to the hills. Shops nearby in a walking distance. I would recommend.

I should start by pointing out that the 4-star rating is really a 3,5 given against the perceived rating of 5 stars under which the Spa Suites are marketed. There is no faulting the equipment levels (of a two bedroom suite we were in). Flat panel TV's in the living room area and bedrooms, with full internet access through the TVs complete with wireless keyboards and mouses for all sets. Kitchen is well equipped with Finnish designer products and the fridge freezer comes with an ice maker. Sauna is also very good and heats up quickly. Towels and bathrobes are provided as apart of the package. There is also a washing machine and an upright drier. However, the suites are getting on a bit and whilst the surfaces are still very nice, general levels of cleanliness leave something to be desired. All soft furnishings were rather worn and e.g. cushions on beds and the sofa were not very appealing being rather worn and dirty. There were also the odd spillage on the walls that no one had bothered to clean up. Given the general level of the suites you would also expect bedding to be up to scratch, as well. My sheet had two holes in it. Picky? Yes. But this is supposed to be five stars. Our particular problem was that the previous occupants of our suite had had a dog with them. Which was a bit of a problem as cleaning was not up to scratch. We found dog hairs on all of our socks and trousers after the first night. Additionally one of us had a bit of a problem with dog allergy preventing sleeping. The latter obviously not Tahko Spa Suites' problem, but proper cleaning would have prevented the issue. Our suite was re-cleaned after a request and funnily enough, socks now stayed clean and dog hairs were mostly gone as well as the allergy problem (with a changed bedding). Location is superb, slopes and services within easy reach, but when you claim you are a five star, you should maintain the perceived standards, as well. It could be that the end of the season shows and there is some refreshing done between the seasons. Certainly hope so.

Our family was participating in the largest mountainbiking event in Finland. The event is hold in the Northern Savo in Nilsiä Tahkovuori Skiing resort area. It is a remote but beautiful place quite far from the main cities of Finland. We decided to go there one day before the event and were searching for a decent accomodation near to the event center. We found the special offer for two nights stay at TahkoSpa suites from the MTB-Tahko official website. We booked a standard suite for two nights. As a result we got a very well equipped air-conditioned holiday home and free access to their Spa. The suite included two separate bedrooms with own bathrooms. A large living room together with an open kitchen including all the latest household machines and cutleries. There were also own sauna, washing machine, three large flat TV-sets etc. in the suite. So shortly this was a perfect place for our family stay for the Tahko-MTB days. Our sons also loved the possibility to go to the Spa whenever they wanted. Please note this is not a real hotel. It is more like a holiday apartment even though they have a restaurant in the separate Spa building and some in-room dining possibilities as well as beverages in the minibar (actually a large fridge). They are also not cleaning the room during your stay, but there is also a vacuum in the room.
