Very friendly and engaging hosts in this wonderful old guesthouse in the small town of Rakaia in Canterbury. A great place to stay if you are keen to explore the surrounding environments including the beautiful Southern Alps. Highly recommended.

We decided to skip Christchurch and drive via Akaroa and then stopping at St Itas before heading to the lakes district.
Was definately a good plan. Easy check in by the very lovely Sue. She made us a pot of tea with some lovely biscuits...More

Stayed here for three nights at the start of our holiday, then again for another two prior to leaving NZ, it has good quick ( 35 mins ) access to Christchurch Airport.
