Loved the hotel receptionist (see pics)
Highly Recommended💙
This is our 3rd visit to Thailand and we have had much nicer hotels at a fraction of the cost .I personally wont recomend it to anyone.
I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights
Each morning I wake up n go to the restaurant to have my breakfast n when I get back to the room my money is missing
That happens twice with me
We decided once again due to the location, the silence and the cleanliness and value for money for the hotel.
The hotel is extremely clean.
A big complement to the maids and gardeners. The resort is beautiful. Everything is just as we remembered. To maintain this standard as upright as long as our 1st visit ago 5 years is simply amazing.
We had booked the suite with breakfast. We had a lot of French, some German, Russian, young and old, singles, families and couples at the hotel. All without any complaints.
The hotel also has a large driveway with parking for rented scooters and vehicles.
Secure parking. Protected access to the hotel through a large gate and security guards at night.
Lamai Buri is not on the beach. The nearest beach (Lamai Beach) is located down the side street, about 250 meters away.
The airport is located in the north of the island, away by car / scooter about 25 minutes.
The nearest major town, Chaweng is about 20 minutes by scooter.
If the minor road down to the "shopping street" goes, 1st row behind the beach, you have a large amount of restaurants, laundries, pharmacy, massage parlors, bookstore, pubs, tailors, clothing stores, etc.
On this route also operate the taxis that go all over the island at low prices. The hotel is built into the hillside and is not wheelchair accessible. Lots of stairs. We thought it would annoy us, but was not the case. You are on holiday and has time by the great gardens "rise" to the room. The Garden Villas are located in the lower part of the resort and not have to climb many stairs.
Every morning we have been from the friendly staff, whether maids , laundresses , gardeners , receptionists , drivers ... welcomed.
The foreign language skills are a problem. But that's everywhere. It is somewhat difficult to communicate with the staff but it all goes . They are just fond they are always trying to make everything right. We had no problems .
Our room was always cleaned perfectly . Every day, new towels . Whether we liked it or not . We did not miss anything.
Our special requests were taken into account without any problems.
Complaints we did not have any
There is a main restaurant in the center of the resort in the slope. There ist the pool and a poolside bar.
Breakfast is typical Thai. White bread, eggs in any form is prepared, sausages, fruits, ham, jam, butter, lettuce, tomatoes, alternating hot food, tea, coffee, water, juices.
Per 4 weeks a bit bland but the quality is good. Also, everything was always clean. Tip: Buy some cheese or cured ham or salami or nutella in the next supermarket "MARCO". And bring you home from pumpernickel or so with no bother and adds variety, who needs them...
It is an open air restaurant. Typical of the country. Very nice.
At the pool bar we ordered two times tuna sandwiches, which were surprisingly tasty. The prices for the sandwiches were fine. Priced drinks ok. Tipping is not expected, but everyone will find nice and does a European not hurt.
The pool is very nice and clean.
All chairs, umbrellas, the outdoor shower are clean, intact and fits well in the garden.
The pool also has a children's pool intigrated . The chairs are heavy wooden chairs with thick cushions . Not these defective plastic chairs .
Our room was very large. The furniture is dark, but all without much wear. Air conditioning modern and quiet, large fridge in the suite, kettle, tea, snacks, very good mattresses, telephone, large balcony with two loungers, flatscreen (DW), desk, rain shower, separate toilet, sofa.
We had the suite 407 (Corner). Absolute privacy requirements. Terrific. Full sun to about 3 pm. Then you can enjoy the shade. ;-)! The view when you're awake in the morning was terrific. The blue sky, the sun is shining and a large palm tree with coconuts. Beautiful!
The hotel is family run and is not a chain. We had the pleasure to get to know the son of the family, which lives in the hotel. Very cute and clever young man.
He asked us if we were satisfied and if there was anything to complain about.
We pointed him to the improvement of the breakfast. A small price increase is not fair vacationers mind if you vote the quality and quantity. He also told us that he is in talks to offer a shuttle bus to the beach. He also wants to renovate the hotel at the end of the year, modernize the rooms. (He showed us pictures and asked us for our opinion).
We have visited us during our stay several hotels (expensive and cheap) and considered carefully. This is really the best you can get for your money. 1st row beach is not always clean and cheap. Better to go a little or take the scooter.
Here everything is right. Price and performance.
We'll definitely be back. Since there is nothing to think about !!!
"Very close to the mainroad on the island. Can be a little dangerous for small children. But short way to the beach, and restaurants. "Read full review
"The room with the sea view (close to swimming pool) is really nice, but the room with little lower comfort is also a good choice."Read full review
