Spent three nights at Silavadee with my family.

I was particularly impressed with the resort's preparations post-Covid-19, providing each room with a "goody bag" consisting of a hand sanitizer spray, alcohol pads, and lotion. We also took advantage of the fitness room (which had to be booked ahead of time so as to maintain social distancing). The fitness room overlooks the sea and has an excellent view.

The resort also hosts a wide range of activities for guests to participate in, ranging from Muay Thai to yoga to snorkeling (weather permitting). It's a shame that not many people take advantage of this.

During my stay, I took two Muay Thai classes with Chai, who was extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful.

The only downside during our stay was the termites (had to call cleaning services twice). Understandable since the entire villa was made of wood, but perhaps more care could be put into place.

Would definitely come again given the opportunity.

This hotel is an amazing retreat for relaxing on Ko Samui island. We stayed in one of the villas with a private pool on the seafront, and it was well worth the price.

Our room was super modern and overlooked the crashing waves, the bedroom and bathroom both have full-height windows to take in the amazing view.

The hotel also has two restaurants and a rooftop bar overlooking the bay. Breakfast was fantastic here - one of the best we have had with a full buffet of western and local options, a full a la carte menu included in the price and unlimited sparking wine.

Highly recommend and great value.

We are absolutely thrilled to have spent 31 days on this magnificent property. Immaculate grounds, multiple pools ensuring privacy. We also enjoyed the beautiful private beach, very quiet, lots of shade if you need it, great snorkeling as well. The staff go out of their way to ensure your utmost satisfaction. Rooms are very large, and beautifully decorated, we spent 20 days in a room and then upgraded to a beautiful villa with ocean view and private plunge pool. The breakfast served every day was superb, fresh fruit, eggs cooked to perfection any way you like. Pastries were always fresh. Hotel is on a quaint little road about 2kms, very little noise. A ton of different restaurants in the area, multiple beaches within 10mins. This hotel is definitely worth a serious look before booking elsewhere. All covid testing at the time was taken care of by the hotel including transport, it was a very easy process !
Any time we wanted to visit another island, bookings were all taken care of through the hotel, even our scooter rental.
We will definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to Samui !

We spent 6 nights in Jan 2020; 3 of them in ocean front pool villa and 3 of them in ocean view room with jacuzi. It was money well spent and totally worth every penny. Staff is very respectful and friendly. Hotel food is delicious - obviously more expensive than what you can find in Lamai or Chaweng but you pay for the convenience. Every night there is a different theme offering at Star bar or the Heights restaurant. We got to try countless local dishes. The live music at the Star bar was great on both Thu & Fri. The Thai traditional night at the Heights was also very entertaining. Hotel pools are terrific and so is the service at the pool bars. The beach is tiny yet so much fun to body surf with the waves. Ocean pool villas have a bit of a privacy issue, they need better seperation from one another but our next door was empty for 2 days so we got lucky.
The only problem with the resort is the wifi connection. It sucks big time, especially at the beach, pool and Moon restaurant areas. Its mostly fine at the rooms but you still need to reconnect many times within the aame hour.

Our beach is indeed a quaint and fun place to spend some nice time snorkeling or body surfing. We stayed at the Ocean Front Duplex Pool Villa, which was nice and spacious and the rooms were well designed inside. The view was stunning. The two rooms were however only connected via an outside stair case, which made it feel like 2 different rooms sharing one pool rather than one unit.

The breakfast had a good choice from continential to asian to american. They also offered bubbly at breakfast.

The service was fine, everyone tried their best and were lovely.

Unfortunately the hotel was a little run down and the outside space was not so well tended to for a luxury hotel. The building material used for the outside spaces is rather cheap and very "cement" heavy.
1. The first picture shows the walkway between our room and the Moon Restaurant. The image is not very nice for a "luxury hotel", the pipes were not covered and that little stone garden has not been looked at in a while.
2. The second image shows the entrance to the Spa, it looks more like a 3 star establishment.
3. This picture is of the Star Bar, the seating area there looks cheap.

All in all we had a nice stay, just not as luxurious as we expected.

Dear smurfee, Thank you for staying with us at Silavadee and for your review even though it has some points that are rather not positive. In regards to your pictures shared, I would like to thank you for 1. Discovering the pipes under a villa, we will look into this to see if those can be hidden better. 2. Our Rooftop outlet Star. Your pictures was taken when it was closed and raining. It is clearly not set up yet nor open as there is no cushion on the seating and the floor is wet from rain. Star is a rooftop venue which is exposed to the elements and thus has to have strong meterials in general and it is a more modern outlet. Thus the materials used are different from The Height for example which is all wood or the Moon which is indoor with expensive wood floors. It saddens me to see that you did not like the look of Star but also it is a picture that not represents this outlet at all due to the time and weather conditions when this picture was taken. 3. Your point in regards to the waterfall feature at our Spa is duly noted. And the water feature is obviously not to your taste which we have to respect. However our Spa Villas themselves are built with high quality materials and wooden floorings which is the core concept of Silavadee- to be integrated in the natural surroundings. And they are anything else than 3 Star. I appreciate your comment on our service in general and I am glad to read that you liked the interior design, quality and views of your Villa. Should your have any additional helpful feedback on your stay I would be happy to receive this via email to gm@silavadeeresort.com. Kind regards, Manuel Lang

First visit to Silavadee with my parents and girlfriend .
Ususally we head down to Phuket but all I can say is absolutely superb in every bit of my vacay. in Samui.

We stayed at 2 bedroom oceant front duplex pool villa and it was absolutely spacious , clean full of complimentary snacks to go with afternoon tea and large pool area to chill.

The hotel does pay attention to every detail including landscape, hygiene practices, food quality , internal service application and on top of that their well trained crew embracing strong service mind.

You could feel as if you were treated as a royal family member in a chilling way . Not exaggerating at all !

I'll definitely revisit this place for at least 3 nights with other family members who are still in overseas. To be honest , they started to shout across the country (online of course) that they wanted to be spoiled too

We absolutely loved our week long stay at Silverdee. It is primarily an Villa resort and privides excellent accommodation , food and ambience. All of the staff were amazing, clearly well trained, professional and service driven.

Villa 10 is magnificent. Luxurious furnished, spacious and with outstanding views.

The Moon restaurant is a beautiful
and stylish air-conditioned restaurant with glorious views over the infinity pool and where i enjoyed the best breakfast I have ever had including complementary fizz every day! The staff are superb, friendly yet professional, super attentive and nothing was ever too much trouble.

You find the Star Bar & Restaurant on a rooftop with offers outstanding views particularly at Sunset. The food once again is sensational and reasonably priced compared to European restaurants of a similar standard.

In Villa dinning was also fabulous. Our requests were served promptly and delicious eveny time. Do have Afternoon Tea it was a particular dinning highlight.

Overall we could not fault this resort and certainly hope to return in the near future. I have no hesitation in giving it my highest recommendation. 10/10

I found the Silavadee hotel and booked online by myself. The photo on the website looked very good but I didn’t know if the actual place would be good or not. Finally, when we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with a warm welcome from the front office staff. Once inside, I realized that the villa was built with high quality materials and was well maintained. They have the most comfortable beds I have ever found in any hotel, the air conditioning was always cool, there was a huge bathroom and a bath tub with strong water pressure. We had a swimming pool in our villa and there were 2 infinity, ocean views pools at the hotel, I was so relieved after I escaped the Covid 19 from Bangkok,It was wonderful just to look out at the ocean while hanging on the pool side,
After I arrived, I canceled every other reservation I had made for lunch or dinner on Samui island and stayed inside the hotel for 3 days and 2 nights without leaving.
Breakfast is excellent here, they have the biggest selection a la carte breakfast menu I have ever seen, Mr. Manuel Lang, the G.M., came to our table every morning to check on our stay. Extensive cocktail and wine list with Thai and Western menus for everyone to finish the day before we went to bed.

While a bit pricey, this five star, Thai-owned resort Silavadee, literally mean land of stone in Thai, is one of the great resorts in Samui island with superb view, stunning restaurant, and top-notched service staff. Our pool villa is very spacious, pleasant, and is truly a room with a view. Food here at two restaurants “Star” and “Moon” are of high quality with good Thai and western cuisine.

But the most impressive experience here for us is the highly trained staff, all of them with great service mind that truly lives up with their reputation and price.

The pool view is superb and the free service for many activities on their private beach are also highly valuable.

Highly recommend if you look for a bit different experience for a five star resorts owned and managed by Thai locals.
