A 2 night stopover here as part of an 8 day walking holiday (see Sherpa Expeditions review) Collected by John on D1 from 1st hotel (see other reviews) and taken to start point.. Elena was there to greet us at apartments.. Ground floor (thank god...!, our legs were jelly after a 26k mountainous hike)... had the craic with her then shown to apartments 101/102, well appointed, clean.....a Bath 😀🛁 (to soak our weary bodies), some basic food for desayuno and 2 welcome beers in the fridge which seemed to evaporate rather quickly once opened...😜🍻 Really comfy beds ( best on the trip) got us off to sleep after a quick bite down in the town. Apartments clean and cool, laundry facility onsite (free).
It is some years since I last reviewed the Apartamentos Bellavista in Santiago, La Gomera. Our return visit for about the sixth time in twenty years was absolutely brilliant. Liz and Elena looked after us once again and were on hand to help with car hire and ferry/ bus timetables. The third floor two bedroom apartment (which we have had before) was immaculate with a recently refurbished bathroom. Booking and payment was easy (as always). Santiago is a great base for visiting the rest of the island with links to San Sebastian, Alajero and Valle Grande Rey by car, ferry or bus. Local restaurants are really good (especially if you like fish!). Highly recommended and I am sure this was not our last visit.
This is our second visit here and we have booked for next year. Very comfortable well equipped apartments. Welcoming and friendly hosts who keep everything in first class order. Near centre of village and in a quiet lane. Wonderful views from large terraces.
Stayed here for a week as a base fro walking in La Gomera. We had a studio on 4th floor, which meant we had our own entrance to the street. It was very well furnished, spotless and equipped well enough. it was the middle week of a 3 week holiday with 1st and 2nd in hotels so we self catered every night. there was a very large terrace with views over the town and out to sea. The terrace had table/chairs/sunloungers to enjoy. The English owners and their Irish helper were extremely friendly and offered ideas for walking, eating etc. Parking is in a road below the apartments and an uphill walk to the door. It is not an ideal location for anyone with mobility issues. The walk into 'town' is about 10-15 minutes where there is a range of bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Overall an good choice and I can understand why they have a large number of repeat visitors.…
A wonderful place! Beautiful apartements with a lovely view over the village & ocean. The english couple who runs this place are very, very friendly and helpful. They gave us suggestions on hiking-routes wich were excellent. We decided to prolong our stay since it was so nice. However, this place would be even more wonderful if there was a pool nearby.
