There are places you are in doubt about reviewing because you would like to keep it to yourself. Villa Gilda is such a place. A bed and breakfast in a quiet olive grove with views of the coast of Versili. Only six large rooms/suites, very tastefully and practically furnished, large bathrooms with freestanding tubs. Common rooms at the ground floor inviting, terraced garden with view. The pool one terrace down, with ample sun chairs and parasols. Fresh breakfast of good quality is prepared every morning, it is also possible to order something to eat for dinner -either pastas prepared in the kitchen or something brougt up from the owner's restaurant in Forte dei Marmi. The kitchen including coffee and cold refreshment can be used during the day. The staff of five persons make you feel like you are a valued guest in their country house. For those who want action there is discounted access to their upscale Bagno in Forte dei Marmi (free in low season) including bikes- good bike roads along the coast road. Also not far to Pietrasanta, Pisa or La Spezia/Cinqe Terre. Car is practical, since the local small town of Montignoso is not a restaurant- or communication hub (three banks, three bars and two basic pizzeriaa closed until the afternoon). But you really don't need to go anywhere, this is a place where you can just sit back and relax...

Fresh flowers everywhere, loads of lovely books, tastefully decorated inside and outside. Comfortable, friendly and with superb staff. Love the fresh food and juices, the Fermob furniture and the outside gym. Every detail is taken care of. Will definitively come back.

Loved the place. Nice room nice location. A pool great breakfast, fantastic service from a couple of nice ladies. nothing to complain but 1 thing. 1 - the pillows are to hard in my view. I like a pillow were I can put my head in. This is truly the only thing I did not like. Eveeything else was great and I will be back for sure.

The beach is super clean and nice looking but that is the only good thing it offers. I faced issues since the day I booked the hotel... The owner, Gilda is a very nervous, rude and stressful person who doesn't really care about the customers at all. She needs to get a management training, for sure. I definitely wouldn't recommend you to stay in Villa Gilda or go to the beach club (which is located in Forte dei Marmi) as you will be treated so wrong and face a lot of stress.

Dear Mrs. Nazli, Thank you for your review. We would like to provide context to your rating which is baseless since you never stayed at Villa Gilda.You booked Villa Gilda but due to a problem with the booking agency you had to stay at another hotel. Villa Gilda helped you by booking the other hotel and in addition arranged a room upgrade and price discount for you. Since you booked Villa Gilda for 1 night you were entitled to get free beach service for 1 day which was explained to you. However, you kept on pushing for 2 days free beach service which obviously was not granted. Apparently you deemed this a reason to give Villa Gilda a low rating. As stated prior, this lacks any justification since you never stayed there. In the future we hope to welcome you at Villa Gilda so you can provide an objective review. Villa Gilda

We visited Villa Gilda for a week. It was perfect from the moment we arrived. The people working here are one of the kindest we've ever met on holiday and during our many travels. The room we stayed in, Ostro, was very well decorated. We fell in love with the bathroom. When you sit on the balcony, you can see the ocean on the horizon. The breakfast was also one of the best and the lady, Mira, who prepares the breakfast, welcomed us with the biggest smile every single morning! You just feel she puts her heart in preparing the breakfast with delicious cakes, pies, juices, fruit,... She made our wonderful stay complete! The area was quiet and beautiful. We relaxed at the pool, where we were alone most of the time and visited cities such as Pisa, Lucca, Firenze,... It's the perfect place to visit these famous cities.

This is absolutely not your typical bed and breakfast! You can experience the 'best of both worlds' at Villa Gilda, you have the homey feeling of a bed and breakfast and the luxurious feeling of a 5-star luxury hotel. The location is peaceful and very romantic while conveniently being a five minute drive from the beach and center of Forte dei Marmi. The breakfast is phenomenal and in the afternoon there is nothing more enjoyable than relaxing by the pool with a chilled bottle of white wine. (To say the least my boyfriend and I had a wonderful long weekend here!) This family run business truly takes the concept of hospitality to another level by genuinely making their guests feel like family! I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking to stay in the area; I will definitely be returning!

We really needed a week of recharging our batteries. When we drove up to Villa Gilda saw the house and the beautiful garden we already felt this is going to be fantastic. But our experience was exceeded in so many ways. This place has the soul of a family that has created magic by opening it up for guests, its private, great architecture and the interior design is simply beautiful. The big difference to many other places we have been to, is the signature of a luxury home. The breakfast is to die for local delicious products big variety and changes almost daily...and the we enjoyed the beach club in its atmosphere..with some trips to Forte sei Marmi, a picturesque town. The evenings we spent at Gilda seafood gourmet restaurant at the beach - what a delicious food and vine experience..we say no 1 in town...in essence la Bella vita every single day! This is only possible through the passion and dedication of the ilda, Ricardo, Auda and the whole team. They are the soul of making sure that we felt the way we did. Thank u! We do not want to leave but knowing that will definitely come back makes it less hard.

Have never ever stayed in a more charming place in my life and then I'm a frequent traveler! Unbelievably beautiful and tastefully decorated in every detail and one can only wish to return a day in my life. The staff is like one in the family and very helpful and accommodating. First of all the accommodation is fantastic. Great location, very relaxing and a beautiful garden with a great swimming pool. The rooms are very clean, spacious with comfortable beds and nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly and did everything to make our stay remarkable. The breakfast is beyond everything you could wish for and again the staff will do everything to fulfil your needs. We will definitely return any time soon.

It is one way to have once a fabolus time, but when you return and your expectations are again surpassed then you know this place is special. This time we went with friends and had an amazing time! We immediately started to relax by the fabulous surroundings of stylish rooms, the villa and its location in itself, the spacious beach club. The owner and the team gave us such a warm welcoming throughout our stay. I think we found a home away from home.....
