In a small walled town on a hill overlooking the sea. Very iinexpensive, good food and award winning Gelato for only 2 Euro's versus 5 Euros in Amalfi. Highly recommend for couples on a get away or when doing random travel locations like we were through Italy.

We stopped here for one night on the way to Puglia. The B&B is in a beautifully restored old residence. It has both comfort and charm. The room was very spacious and airy, with all the conveniences. The shower was very good. Breakfast was terrific -- it included a large selection of hot and cold items -- Giuseppe even offered... More

It's located in an old palace in the heart of the old town's fortress, exotic and even romantic, nicely stylishly renovated, with modern bathroom facilities. No elevator though. Also the parking is possible only on the cross street which is the belt road circling the old town. So you have to carry your luggage about 50 meters to the inn.... More

Cariati is my birth place and while I thought I new this area very well I did not expect to find the welcome we received hear. The Palazzo Mascanbruno is to good to be called just a B&B its a gem amongst a jewel of Italian chaos. The owner Giusepe is a wealth of knowledge for the area and of... More

We stayed for a week in this beautiful building. Enter through a large wooden door into an enchanting courtyard. The bedrooms are large e with an equally spacious en suite. Giuseppe and his sister could not do enough for us. A charming couple who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and well fed !! The... More

Thanks to Giuseppe who was the perfect host during our one night stay. Romantic place, large room, good breakfast and cheap price. What else do you want?....actually we missed the bedroom with apparently amazing view overlooking the sea....early booking recommended... Good advice from Giuseppe on restaurants and "tapas" bar of the village. Would surely stop again when in the area

We arrived by car. The Palazzo Mascambruno is located in a limited traffic zone so it is best to park outside the Porta Pìa, walk into the Palazzo and pick up a car pass (free) and then go and bring in your car. What a BEAUTIFUL building!!! The breakfast is delicious and plentiful, with many options. It is possible to... More

It is like stepping back in time and actually staying in a castle. Rooms were very clean and spacious with fantastic views over the towns and coast below us. The hosts were the best we experienced in Italy and the breakfast was also fantastic. It is worth the effort to go out of your way to experience a stay at... More

Just a few words to confirm other customers' opinion. The old palace in the historic walled town has been nicely redecorated, and the rooms are spacious and fully furnished. The super kind owner goes to great lengths to help customers. Breakfast is quite good. Excellent choice1

We stayed in Cariati on our way to Sicily during our 7 months driving holiday around Italy. There is not much to say about the newer parts of Cariati especially in late Autumn. We were told that this area hums in summer but it just looks like a dirty town that spoils what could be a seaside paradise. The old... More
