One of the best place I ever slept in. This is a unique place, and a must do in Latvia. The rooms are really comfortable, the Castle park is really nice to wander in, and a beautiful view. Breakfast is not a buffet, but is excellent and served at the table. Juste be careful, inside pool is free only in...

We stayed with friends in Birini and toured the grounds of this now hotel. It is relaxing with lots of trails, around the lake and beside the river. We also ate at the restaurant and had a delicious meal.

Beautiful castle with lots of character. You feel like lord and lady of the manor. Beautiful decorated room with well equiped bathroom. We had a room in the castle itself. The staircase is amazing. Friendly and helpfull staff. The gardens and lake are very peaceful. Both lunch and diner were very tastful. Breakfast the next morning was very extensive.

Location is veru good , but stuff starting from the entrancein the teritory is not polite and customer oriented ! Birini probably could be excellent variant for big group celebrations ( marriage, aniversary, funeral), but not the place for families . Payments already asked before You even see the castle....We were not satisfied and went to another castle just near...

I stayed one night in this spectacular hotel on a business trip with Latvian environmental colleagues. The hotel has old style castle interior, so you really get the castle feeling. The exterior is also amazing, with a royal walk down to the water where also bathing in possible. On the other side you have a very large park for walking...

The place looks very nice on the photos and arriving from a distance as well but at the closer look you get really disappointed as the renovation is done some longer time ago and poorly, the room feels quite worn (except of freshly painted and smelly floor) and the restaurant serves decent food for quite high price.

If you didn't know it was there, you would have a hard time believing there is an ornate castle in the Latvian forest. It also has a very good restaurant, which is difficult far from a city. We were enroute from Riga to Tallinn and chose to go via Birini - a very worthwhile side-trip.

What a stunning building to stay in. We stayed in April, and it was very quiet. I think we may have been one of two groups staying in the castle/manor. Beautiful rooms, wonderful service and food. Your able to explore the 42 hectares of grounds, and all of the manor in your own time too. I highly recommend staying here,...

Very nice looking castle outside and inside. Service was very good and helpful. Not the cheapest but it depends on room you choose. Restaurant was good lots of food choice. Very nice lake view. It is middle of nowhere but it is very relaxing and quiet.
