I stayed here as a bit of a chill after a work week in Lisbon. This place has everything, really nice apartments 10 minutes walk from many beautiful beaches with stylish bars and restaurants, Beaches very close by are Gale, Lourenço, Salgados, Evaristo (watch the rich and famous anchor their yachts offshore and come in for a glass of champagne) Castello and São Raphael all overlooking amazing sunsets. You can have a sandwich or a Michelin star meal on the beach at Gale. The restaurant on site, Scenarium is decorated in a very eclectic style, and offers Italian style food, pizza, pasta along side fish and steaks with amazing cocktails at very reasonable prices. The gym on site with its two PTs offer extremely professional instruction (book in advance to make sure you’re not disappointed!!). The apartments all based around the pool are fully equipped and very comfortable. Receptionists extremely helpful and accommodating. All in all this complex and it’s setting has everything. Oh I didn’t mention, Salgados golf course literally 5 mins away in the car if that floats your boat. I would very highly recommend

The facilities were excellent, everything was very clean and tidy and the staff really superb. We planned to tour around the Algarve in our car and Glenridge proved to be a perfect base. The kitchen was fully equipped and the apartment itself was large with a decent terrace. The main road wasn't busy in April, but this could be a consideration if you intend to stay at peak times. Our apartment was at the far side away from the road overlooking the countryside, really pleasant tasting the many Portugeese wines whilst watching the sun go down. Overall, this proved to be a great place to stay for us and amazing value too. Only more blue Skies could have made our stay perfect but then when. I asked my wife to pick a horse for the grand national she read through the list and chose "many clouds" which just happened to win! Just goes to show that every cloud really does have a silver lining lol forgot to mention that all apartments are fitted with electronic security shutters, next time we'd take a ground floor apartment to the rear of the complex, lovely green area overlooking farmland, very nice.

If you are looking for a self-catering holiday where you are catering for yourself daily then this resort is ideal.
The apartments are well equipped with a kitchen fitted with large fridge, fair sized freezer, dishwasher, 4 ring ceramic hob, oven and microwave along with such extras as juicer, hand blender, coffee filter etc.
The dining table and chairs are solid and comfortable and the lounge area nice and large with a couple of sofas and coffee table.
The bathroom is clean and modern though no plugs. Bedroom is bright with comfortable mattresses.
We had an apartment with a west facing balcony which was perfect for us as you get the sun from later morning to sunset.
It was very low season when we were there so cannot really comment on all leisure facilities although the pool looked nice and clean and the gym adequate for a morning workout.

Resorts that are apartment based and not hotels are dependent on the albilities of the staff that work on it.

I can say the staff at Glenridge are excellent at their jobs.

The apartments are cleaned very well each day bar Sunday and holidays and the staff at reception are always willing to help. They talk to you and do not ignore you and make you feel very welcome.

Wifi is free and I had three separate devices and they were very happy to supply a password for each one.

The grounds albeit small are well kept which gives the added feeling of a clean resort.

There are several supermarkets close by, Alisuper within 400m plus Apolonia (more expensive but quality food) and two Oceano supermercado close by too.

We did not have a car and all these shops were within walking distance along with some gorgeous beaches, some coved and the main one gloriously sandy, but with Albufeira less than 4 miles away the larger supermarkets of Pingo Doce and Continente are also very accessible with a car.

We had the good fortune to meet the owner of the resort on a couple of occasions and he is well aware of small but necessary improvements that are required to make the apartments even more comfortable and I know he has these in progress already so it can only make for even better stays in the near future.

Overall if you want a holiday away from the bright lights and noise but close to lovely beaches and facilities then Glenridge is ideal.

Thanks to all the Glenridge staff for making our stay comfortable and fun.

Nice quiet location close to the beach but service and staff disappointing.
We moved from one apartment to another we realised after two hours we had left our first apartment our boys had left their expensive jackets on the back of their bedroom door. When we asked the cleaners and management they denied any knowledge of the coats and said they trusted their staff and they didn’t believe we had left them there! They basically covered it up to protect their staff. Make sure you don’t leave anything lying around when the cleaners are around.
Also they state on booking.com that the apartments are air conditioned but they aren’t! They only have 1 old aircon unit in the living area didn’t really do much at all.

This place is a hidden gem.
The Positive - Spacious, spotless modern apartments, all freshly painted and tastefully designed. Modern matching utensils and crockery, electric hob, oven, microwave, hand blender, electric fruit juicer, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and even a dishwasher. TV has plenty of English and American channels. Air conditioning in the sitting room plus the option of buying wood for a log fire.
The apartments come in blocks of one upper and one ground floor apartment. I had number 44 (an upper) which means a flight of about 12 steps. If you have any difficulty with stairs, ask for a ground floor apartment. My balcony at the back of the apartment overlooked fields of what looked like grape vines and other plants, very private. All the windows had electric shutters, operated by a button inside, so felt very safe and secure at night.
All the staff spoke good English and appeared very happy to do so. I was asked many times if I was ok, or was there anything that I needed. Super, super helpful.
My cleaner's name was Anna and she is an absolute star. When she cleaned my apartment it shone and smelt wonderful. She is so good at her job and always so happy and cheerful.
The negative - the location, three restaurants, one Chinese, one Indian and one Portugese. Two supermarkets and a closed down shopping centre. There is a bus service to Albufeira but it drops you off miles from anywhere. I noticed that all the property in Gale is newbuild and that includes Glenridge, so perhaps the location will build up to be better in time.
The beach is a long walk away and when you get there it is tiny and not particularly inviting.
Would I stay at Glenridge again? Yes, I recommend highly.

Stayed here for 4 nights in 2 bed apartment with my mum.
Located about 15 mins drive outside albufeira this place is a complete retreat, while still having a few lovely bars and restaurants within walking distance.
The apartments are well equipped, fantastically clean, and really spacious.
They have electric shutters on all windows so are both secure, and quiet during the night, ensuring a fantastic nights sleep.
The big supermarket is about 10 mins walk away, and there are a couple of lovely restaurants within 5 mins walk, o girrasol and Sao domingos were our favourite.
The hotel also has a lovely bar and restaurant open from 6pm.
The service at the apartment could not be faulted. The staff absolutely make the place and could not be more helpful and polite.
The pool are is big and clean but we spent a lot of time on our sunny terrace which was
Complete with table and chairs.
We would definitely return to glenridge!! Highly recommended

I chose Glenridge for a short stay based on its location as we had an event to attend. The resort is small and was very peaceful for the five days of our stay. The apartment was roomy with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The outside area had an open view over vineyards and was just right.
The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The pool was brilliant. The resort is in walking distance of the beach, restaurants and a supermarket.
One small complaint was that some basic equipment was not in the apartment such as a hair dryer, wine glasses and a corkscrew.
But it was a lovely few days and I would happily stay again.

We went as a family of 6 (2 ad & 4 ch).
Glenridge exceeded my expectations, it is really clean, apartment was well equipped and staff were very friendly.

Positives

Very clean
Large apartment
Friendly staff
Quiet pool area with beds free most of the time, if not, give it an hour!
Close to some fantastic restaurants & really beautiful beaches.
Short transfer from the airport.

The negative points really aren't a reflection on the hotel, more just a personal preference.

It is a good 15-20 minute walk from the nearest supermarket which was a struggle in the heat on occasion!!

With kids (ours are 10, 8, 7 & 4) a taxi may be necessary to go to the beach etc, more so on the way back!

There is no bar or access to drinks (except coffee) during the day so you really do need to be well stocked up & bring your own drinks to the pool with you. Again, this is a personal thing, we usually go All inclusive, so we were probably a bit ill prepared!

The on site restaurant is beautiful though not overly child friendly (no kids menu, steak was recommended as the best kids option)

We would absolutely come back to Glenridge, it's a hidden gem, as is Galé, it's less commercialised than Albufeira.

The staff here have been so kind, even providing balloons & sweets for my sons birthday while we were here.
I wholeheartedly recommend Glenridge, particularly if you're looking a quiet peaceful holiday.

Another excellent experience at the Glenridge resort. Nice and quiet but close enough to the wonderful beaches and coves of Gale to enjoy them daily.

It takes about ten minutes to walk to the nearest beach and when you get there the views are stunning.

If you do not have a car then reception will arrange a taxi to the Algarve shopping which works out cheaper than buses in and out of Albufeira (about €10).

The staff are wonderful and no request is beyond them. Their assistance is second to none.

Thank you Ligia, Fransisco and Telma.

See you soon.

I stayed there as a solo traveller- 12-26 Sep and for me ,it was a perfect location.
Lovely well equipped apartment, immaculate condition, serviced daily.
Quiet pool, ample beds, again very clean. Lovely gardens.
Best of all, fantastic staff, Telma.Nuno,Gorge and Ligia-who were so pleasant and helpful. Any request actioned without delay and with a smile, they certainly helped make my vacation special, well done everyone!!!
The restaurant appeared quiet, I never observed people eating in it, so I can,t comment on it, but several excellent restaurants nearby also, to choose from.
If night life is important, this may not be your location. No real center of the resort, just little restaurants at the beach and dotted around, but if you like the buzz of people watching and night-shopping, you would need to take a taxi to Albuferia, approx 22 euros round trip. Quiet resort in a quiet location, fantastic staff, wonderful beach, I hope to return soon.

There is a bus stop about ten minutes walk away and it serves Albufeira. Not sure how frequently they run as we had a car. Not sure about a laundry facility. There may well be one in the main building.

Yes, there is an iron. Apologia is an excellent supermarket just 10-15 minutes walk away. Within a short walk are Bella Vita (an excellent Italian restaurant) and Sao Domingos (a family run Portuguese restaurant). Enjoy.

Hello, Yes we have cots available. When you make your reservation put that information that you will need a cot. In relation to restaurants there are several nearby where you can walk. The beach is about 900 meters from our unit. There is also a bus service to Albufeira from Galé. It has few buses but it has this service. Best Regards, Glenridge Albufeira
