Came away a little disappointed from our 2 night stay. Although a reasonable size the room was very basic. Neither the air conditioning or tv worked although that wasn't a problem as we didn't need to use either. A pleasant poolside/ restaurant area with plenty of seating , although the pool was very green with algae. Our first night's meal...

We visited this place during a week of hiking. On arrival we were told they wanted our passports so started rummaging in our bags to be told then that only one passport was required. The receptionist promised us welcome drinks - an idea we liked after a day of hiking. However they never materialised. Our luggage had arrived hours earlier...

Set up on the mountainside these holiday rooms are built like the traditional houses. The rooms are fairly small, with just a standard double bed (1.37m) but have ensuite showers and a small fridge. There was a TV and a heater/aircondition but neither worked when we were there. Breakfast is served in the main room, a short walk from the...

A cobbled road leads up the side of the valley with increasingly stunning views of the surrounding towering mountains. Bougainvillea cascades over the walls and a pool is set in a delightful seating area. However the hotel has little else to recommend it. The grounds are dirty, the room was tired, dark and dank and the service was appalling, giving...

Pedracin Village is located in a stunningly beautiful location. Perfect like a fairy tale. The hotel is built in a really impressive site, green and mountaineous. I have been to 69 countries and I do not mean to brag but I can tell if a place is beautiful and unique. Unfortunately the rest of the hotel (rooms, cleaning, food, swimming...

This hotel has a captive market due to its location and the excellent mountains and walking nearby. However, it is in desperate need of investment. The rooms in bungalows are tired and need refurbishing. When we visited the pool which does have a nice location was out of action. The staff tried hard but with limited skills and training just...

We stayed there only for one night but were very impressed. The situation is magnificent and the rooms are very nice. The pool area and restaurant are good.Although the hotel was fairly crowded the service was good and we had an enjoyable meal. Our only complaint is that there was no hot water for the shower but otherwise the place is highly...

This is a beautiful location about 5 miles from the coast in a lovely rural setting. It could be idyllic with a little extra thought. The individual chalets are a great concept. But the place is spoiled by some basic faults. The first one is that there was hot water only on one evening during our 3 night stay. It...

The small bungalows with traditional roofs were well situated to enjoy the excellent views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The swimming pool was a welcome area to relax after a long hike. Restaurant was good and provided a wide choice of meals with local fresh vegetables. This was one of the best places we stayed on the Cape Verde...
