Very nice and friendly good English speaking service. Close to the beach, with one of the best restaurants in the region! The rooms are very clean but simple. Every day service! Breakfast is good standard. If you stay several days free space at the beach included!
Since our arrival, 2/3 hours before scheduled check in time, we've been impressed positively: the person (a guy) who received us was polite, friendly, smiling; he immediately gave us the room's key and discount voucher (30%) for the beach. Room 14 is large, with wide wardrobe, safe and bathroom was absolutely spotless. The mattresses are comfortable and even the pillows (which at first sight worried me) have not given any problem: deep sleep and silence throughout the night and morning. It seems that the structure has been recently renovated, with much taste, especially the part on the ground floor. Breakfast is included in the price, which for the service and the standard offered is very low (67 euros per night). I enjoyed the fresh croissants, I don't like the coffee from the machines but it was still nice. The second day we asked what would have been the cost for a late check out and, with a smile, we were told that would have been 30% of the room's price but, also, as they did not wait for new arrivals in that room, they would not make us pay anything. The "little mermaid" beach facility, with which they have an agreement, is very organised and well maintained. I hope to find a place at Tavernetta again in June and July: I have rarely met such kind, helpful and competent people in such a well-kept environment. It is a three star hotel so my enthusiasm is easily explained, especially if you compare Tavernetta with other hotels in Marina Romea, packed with screaming children jumping in pools.…
Family of 4, we got a family room, perfect for us. The place is very quiet, well kept and the dining is really great, food is top quality! The beach is 400m away reachable after a nice walk through the pine forest. Sea is clean, truly worth a stay!
This hotel is very close to the beach, walking distance. As we were visiting out of season, it was nice and quiet. The breakfast is of a continental flavour, but you can enjoy as many 'corneto' as you'd like. The coffee is from a machine, but it was hot and a good coffee. Our room was on the small side, and the shower would not be comfortable, if even useable for a very large person, but as we are on the slimmer side, it was ok for us. We had a view of the pool, and the balcony was a delightful place to sit and enjoy the bird sounds will sipping a glass of vino.
We selected this hotel based on the excellent reviews and were not disappointed. We hope to return some time. The location is just far enough off the main drag that it is very quiet. We used this as a base to enjoy the beach (about a ten minute walk with access included in the room price that we selected) but close enough that we could travel into Ravenna to see the mosaics (worth the trip BTW). We took the bus into Ravenna to avoid traffic and parking hassles - that worked out well. As for the hotel, it seems that many families come year after year and meet their summer vacation friends - a good sign. Our room was very clean and the air conditioning worked very well (and was surprisingly quiet). The room was not spacious but we did not expect or need a larger room. We enjoyed the half-board dinners that were also included in the room price option we selected. Overall, the hotel, beach, meal package was good value for money. The area itself was busy but not overrun by tourists as some parts of Italy are at this time of year. Only two negative comments: - The breakfast buffet had run out of several items and the staff did not appear to have any intention to replenish them. We went a little earlier the second morning, just in time to get some pastries, before they seem to have run out again. I would make a similar observation about the salad/antipasti buffet at the evening meal and guests tended to 'rush' the table as a result. - The walls are not very thick so we did hear our neighbours a few times.…
