First, let me be clear. We did not stay at this location but we did spent time at the4 Fosshotel in Reykjavik and the chain seems to be very consistent. We were very happy with the location in Reykjavik We were traveling to the island of Grimsey on the last day tours were open (August 31) and had to take...

The boxy Fosshótel Dalvík building with its corporate flair will not be mistaken for a quaint, romantic location. But we found it to be a well-run property with many advantages that fully met, and to some extent exceeded, our needs and expectations. The hotel is located on the edge of the small town of Dalvík, right by the public swimming...

- location of this hotel is nice, everything in walking distance - building is old and seems filthy and old - carpets are disgusting and bad for allergic people - staff not very helpful and uncoordinated - rooms are small - food at breakfast was good and partly homemade - there is a nice swimming pool centre close to the...

Stayed here on a 10 day Ring Road tour. As is typical of Iceland hotels, it was expensive, but it wasn't exorbitant. And there was a free breakfast which was excellent. The best part was the free access to the swimming pool (2 min walk). I went at 6:15AM when it opened and I was the only one there. There...

My family and I had breakfast at the Fosshotel. It was very good but when we asked for the bathroom the man in the reception informed us that they were all out of order and that we should walk over to the camping area and use the toilets there. I think they might have closed the bathrooms cause they don't...

Clean. Certainly the quietest hotel I've ever been to. The breakfast was included and was fantastic: it included all the things you'd find at a typical Icelandic breakfast and then some. The room was a bit small by American standards but it was quaint. And clean. Nice showers.

Fosshótel Dalvík is located right at the entrance of this beautiful, enchanting town on Eyjafjörður. The room and the quality of service exceeded my expectations. One typically comes to Dalvík not to linger around in the hotel but to enjoy the offerings outdoors. This hotel provides the basics for a comfortable stay.

This was actually a very nice hotel by Icelandic standards. A double bed was a bonus and although the room was small the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom (again quite small) had good hot water and all I really needed. The WIFI was good, and the restaurant recommendations from the very friendly staff were great. One of my...
