My husband was traveling to Ireland for an Irish language course and his teach suggested I spend the week at Bel Air on a riding holiday. What a fantastic recommendation! The hotel was wonderful (authentic and charming), the owners and staff were so welcoming and couldn't do enough to ensure my stay was fun and comfortable. Aileen and William were wonderful and Lisa was always so cheerful and happy. The riding instruction from Noni was absolutely some of the best I've had. She was able to read me so well that she started me where I was comfortable. Although I've been eventing at home in local shows this was a whole new level of riding for me. The horse were fabulous--healthy, well taken care of, fit, and they knew their job. Noni's daughter took us out on a couple of trail rides and the group had a fabulous time. The place is just beautiful and is a 15-20 minute walk to the town of Ashford. The gardens are a beautiful place to spend time in as well. There are also buses that stop in Ashford and take people to Glendalough and Wicklow. All in all I can hardly wait to come back and do it all again!

Myself and a friend went to Bel Air for a horse riding holiday and we can’t say enough about it! It was the most amazing holiday with fantastic horses. Bel Air hotel is lovely and everyone is so accommodating. There wasn’t anything that was too much. Would absolutely recommend to everyone.

I have been welcomed warmly by the very competent team, and I had the opportunity to ride such nice horses, true teachers who love to jump. It was a first time riding cross-country for me and it could not have been better!

My friend Hannah and I recently stayed at Bel-Air on the intensive cross country horse riding week. We had an absolutely fantastic time and achieved more than we thought possible during our stay. The hotel is authentic and original, with character and charm you won't find in a 5* chain hotel. The staff are genuine and welcoming, they can't do enough for you. The stables are immaculate and the horses love their jobs. The instruction is the best we have ever had anywhere in the world. Truly knowledgeable staff who are passionate about both horse and rider. The local area is quiet and you will need a taxi transfer from the bus stop if you catch the bus from the airport. There are options for evening meal in the local village and the gardens are a must-see. We have already booked for next year and have only been back a week!

This was our fourth visit to Bel-Air and we had a fantastic time as always before. Have already booked a new visit. A great place to enjoy horses, nature and the Irish countryside and to learn cross country riding. Great, happy and hard working horses and excellent an instructor. The rooms are spacious and clean and the people friendly and hospitable❤️
