The Cliffs of Moher Hotel is a beautiful hotel in the seaside village of Liscannor, Co. Clare. It’s a great location for the Cliffs of Moher, the Cliffs Coastal Walk, Lahinch Golf Club host of the 2019 Irish Open, the Aran Islands and the many other attractions of this beautiful coast on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. . The Bloody Cranesbill gastrobar has been winning rave reviews for quality and affordability, its nooks and crannies filled with contemporary Irish and international art and photography.

We will admit, we would've stayed anywhere in the Lahinch/Liscannor/Doolin/Burren area. We had searched for 2 weeks and nothing was available. Somebody must have cancelled their booking while we were doing our search, because a room randomly became available, which we snapped up. A busy August weekend - you'd take anything.
We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Firstly, it is less than a 10 minute drive from the Cliffs of Moher. I would recommend getting up and doing the Cliffs early (we arrived there at 8:30). We were one of the only people on the site and when it was starting to get busy, we left and went back to the hotel and had our breakfast, which is served until 10:45.
We assumed the hotel would be nice, but it was much nicer than we thought. The room we stayed in had two large double beds and it was very big and spacious. Shower in the bathroom was great - very powerful. Staff (especially Kimberly at reception) were so kind and helpful and couldn't do enough to assist you with whatever you needed.
We ate in the hotel on one of the nights and the food was lovely. Social distancing was done very well and there are sanitizers around the hotel.
The only disadvantage I would say the hotel has is that there is not much around it for night time. There are maybe 3 restaurants/pubs right beside it, but if you want something more lively, you'd need to drive to Lahinch. We wanted to have a drink each night so we couldn't drive and there didn't seem to be any taxis going regularly. We were back in the room each night around 10:30 as nothing was open, but that's more down to Covid than the pubs/restaurants.

Thanks for a great stay.

Just checked out after a two night family break at the Cliffs Of Moher hotel. Was welcomed by a lovely lady called Kimberly and the staff could not be more helpful
It is in a beautiful location and ideal for taking in the sights
We did a day on the Cliffs as well as a trip to the Aran Islands
Had the most amazing dinner in the restaurant served by a lovely girl called Erin who was really attentive while socially distancing.
Beautiful breakfast on offer and great service all round.
Met the owner this morning which is always nice to see.
Highly recommended a stay-we will be back for the lobster

A wonderful boutique style hotel ideally located. The staff are both very friendly and very professional. Unlike some hotels around Ireland this place is very well heated and the shower has excellent water pressure which is great after a long day walking the cliffs.

The food is excellent and there is a nice cosy restaurant.

I give this hotel top marks and am happy ro recommend a stay here .

Excellent value all round at the Cliffs of Moher Hotel!

We enjoyed our stay in this nice hotel. However it is very much overpriced for what is on offer. We can only assume that this is as a result of COVID-19 and the demand for west of Ireland hotels. The hotel is close to the main road and is very central for a lot of attractions. The double room was very large and comfortable. It was surprising that breakfast was not included in the price and the cost of breakfast was very expensive also. The real winner for us was the staff. They lifted our experience and made this a most enjoyable stay despite the overpriced stay. The menu is very limited and with that we expected this to be of good quality. In the main this was true, however we had a pretty poor pizza on our second night, and the lobster was less than appetising. So I suppose the major question is would we stay in the hotel again? The answer is that we would providing the 3 star hotel tempered the price back from a 5 star price for our stay and included a decent breakfast. But again thank you to the amazing staff who completed lifted our stay.

My family and I went for dinner in the hotel in late August. The food was quite good (steaks, lobster, beef & Guinness stew), the music was enjoyable, and the service was reasonably attentive.

However, none of the staff wore face masks or visors, which is the very minimum I would expect in a restaurant at present. While there were bottles of hand sanitiser available, and the tables were well spaced, the absence of masks left me with the impression that Covid-19 procedures were not well implemented. I did not feel comfortable there, and would not return.

Response from Manager Cliffs of Moher Hotel, General Manager at Cliffs of Moher Hotel
Responded 17 Sept 2020
Thanks for dining with us and for your mostly positive comments on the food, music and service. Since re-opening on June 29th we have operated in strict adherence with ALL of the governmental guidelines that have been issued in relation to the re-opening of the hotel sector: from sanitisation, physical distancing , the serving of alcohol; to when, where and what PPE must be worn by staff. If anything , we have received criticism in this period more so for being OVERLY rigorous in applying the restrictions. In the initial re-opening , most readers will be aware that the wearing of face coverings was not mandatory in all areas. Since this changed , on August 18th,  all of our front-line staff in the restaurant have been wearing face coverings in full compliance with the amended guidelines. We are a responsibly run hospitality business and we operate in adherence with the guidelines that have been issued for our industry. We don’t pre-empt or second guess the guidelines/make up our own guidelines or react to individual suggestions on which guidelines are too restrictive and which are not restrictive enough. Our job is to implement only the official guidelines - which we do in full compliance - even as and when they are regularly amended. We're sorry that a member of this party felt uncomfortable - but it's simply not correct to state that the required protocols were not well implemented. -- Cliffs of Moher Hotel

Just back from a short, but very lovely stay in the Cliffs of Moher Hotel. Was in the area on business. Even though there are covid restrictions in place, I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Gorgeous room, very comfortable bed and such a treat to have VOYA products in the bathroom. My two meals (dinner and breakfast) were delicious, and all of the staff were lovely, special mention for Olan who I really enjoyed chatting with about the amazing art collection they have. For anyone heading to Clare on their holidays it's a perfect location to explore the area and all it has to offer. I'll definitely be back!

I'm guilty of procrastinating when it comes to writing this review, as our stay was last New Years Eve. We enjoyed a large comfortable room and all of the team were so welcoming and helpful, in particular Kimberley who welcomed us and looked after us throughout our short stay. The highlight of the stay was the dinner we had on New Year's Eve. I believe it was the best chowder and rib eye steak I've ever had!! I regularly think of that meal, we get nothing that good in Dublin. I highly recommend this fabulous hotel and look forward to returning!!

Disliked · Stayed in room 117 didn’t sleep all night due to constant noise from what could have been heating system next to or above the room sounded like a washing machine on spin all night. We checked out following morning and took refund for the following night we were offered another room but we were so tired we didn’t feel up to doing any of our planned activities. The room in my opinion should not be available if you can’t sleep in it. Staff didn’t seem in anyway surprised at the complaint and just said sorry about that. Also the room even if there had been no noise was highly overpriced at €169 per night without breakfast, was spotless but quite basic.

We stayed in the hotel for a family holiday. The room was perfect, spotless clean with all the key features needed. We had a number of meals in the hotel and every-time the food was excellent. It is in a perfect location close and central to all key attractions the area has to offer However the best part of the hotel is the service. Every member of staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us.
We will definitely return for another stay.

On Tuesday 10th August I rang the hotel asking if my friend and I could eat inside as we were fully vaccinated and we both had our covid vaccination certificates. The owner agreed and was very helpful on the phone.
When we arrived, the owner tried to scan both covid certs - my friend's was digital which worked but mine was postal and wouldn't scan so he refused to let me eat inside.
It was extremely disappointing as it was the final day of my holidays. In hindsight I should have protested seeing as people from Northern Ireland and UK who don't have the European covid certificate are correctly being allowed to eat in restaurants with the card given to them when vaccinated. I should have presented that card and relayed that information.
It was such a damper to the end of the holiday and it was a slightly upsetting experience as it wasn't my fault that the app wouldn't scan. In other restaurants, my covid certificate has worked. The food was fine but I won't be returning.

Hi, Not directly but there is a shuttle to the Cliffs during season and there is a good local taxi service. The state bus company runs a regular service on the coast road and the stop is right outside the hotels front door, Enjoy its a great spot, Mark

It's too far to walk. The front desk should be able to tell you if there is a bus route you can use.
