Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here 2 wks ago me, my bf, mum & some friends! It is such a lovely spot, quiet, relaxing & everything at your hand. The leisure centre, playground, shop on site & pub of course :) the cottages are clean, comfy & modern. The beach is a 10 min walk down the road & is lovely for long walks, the only thing i can complain about banna is there is no restaurant on site. Will be back next summer cant wait, loved it :)

We were there off peak (end of May) and felt like we were in their way while they prepared for the guests paying more. We knew the bar and supermarket were closed but the soft play area and playground were to be available, we could only use them on our last day as they were renovating them. If we had known that we wouldn't have gone. On our last day I asked for an extra towel for the pool as I had washed all the others (for them) and they wanted to charge me for it. The house was covered in ants and on our second last day one of the toilets got blocked and they did nothing about it. Location is very good and beach is fantastic but glad we only paid €300, same week in August is €980. Internet only in reception .. website suggests in the houses.

I poped into the hotel to check out the leisure centre with the intention of becoming a member. Unfortunately the experience was less then pleasurable. The changing rooms were ok to be fair but that is as good as it got. I entered the pool area and first impressions are bad. 1) kids and adults swimming with no swimming hats. No one enforcing this 2) the steel grame of the main structure needs urgent attention. Paint flaking in several areas over the pool. 3) the glass handrail was filty and the stainless steel supports very rusty. 4) mould visible on the wall tiles in the pool. 5) lights missing and wire's exposed near the changing rooms. Overall i think this is very poor and i certainly would recommend against the leisure area.

we decided a short break was due so headed to Banna Beach Resort for a stay of three nights...our house was clean and a typical holiday accommodation....but our fire extinguisher was totally empty which we highlighted at reception but for our full stay no replacement was given...as a mom of three i felt the basic safety regulations were poor.As this was midterm break there was little information in their booklet in house on what was around and most of the info.sheets were marked or stained...

We were a family of 5 and stayed in a 3 bed holiday home. It was spacious, cosy, very clean and well equipped . The heating was efficient. We could light an open fire 🔥 Staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks Alison

Banna beach is the best place for kids in Ireland has it all but last year I was disgusted at how run down the place was. Curtains were visibly dirty old and shabby walls were filthy the place smelled as if it was cleaned with dirty cloths the couch was the worst I ever saw black with the dirt although I did notice some bungalows had new leather couches this is a necessity for all bungalows parents can't be expected to rent a house they are afraid to sit on due to dirt even my children commented on how old and dirty they were.... pool was OK last year but has also been freezing cold.. kids love this place but it's an adult holiday too and more taught is needed to activities N not the same thing year after year. Plus hygiene and a bit of comfort and a must for any holiday ..

We stayed there the end of July, early August. We had a 3 bedroom bungalow which had everything we needed for a family break away from home. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The resort caters for adults and children alike. From the large playground, astro turf and tennis courts outside to Pirate Pete's, the swimming pool, gym and the games room for the teens inside it had it all. There is a supermarket and a takeaway at the resort and entertainment every evening at O'Shea's pub that caters for the whole family. It is just a few kilometers from Tralee and a 30 minute drive to Killarney. We had a wonderful time there and will definitely return there.

Very enjoyable weekend at BB resort. The house was large and comfortable and well equipped. Great facilities for children. The staff were great and looked after us very well. Great BBQ on Saturday night. Perfect base for exploring Kerry. Will be back.

Fantastic place to go. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very child friendly. Pirate petes was great. Swimming pool was excellent. Playgrounds and greens were well maintained. House was spotless and well equipped. Beach was very close and it is a fantastic beach. It was so nice we even stayed on an extra night! Couldn't fault one thing about it!

House was shabby. Front door badly damaged and patched up. Curtains hanging down. Whole house inside and out needed painting. Bed linen quality quite poor. Wardrobe doors not matching each other. Grass outside not cut. Picnic bench had seen better days. The whole resort could do with some TLC and a good clean.
