Stunning scenery everywhere you look in Ardgroom, I was really surprised how big the houses are very clean and supplied with everything you need. Lovely shop and cafe across the road we have found our base for future West Cork Holidays. Thanks 😊

We just spent a week in Ardgroom Holiday Village- 2 adults and 3 children. Great accommodation. Very clean with everything we needed in the house and very spacious. The sauna was a great plus for us- somewhere to escape to for some quiet time away from the kids. The village itself was very safe for the kids to play in . I would recommend this to any family

Stayed for 5 days in this accomodation. Picked up keys at local shop/garage/post office and were taken to the nearby house and shown around, lovely spacious house with all mod cons, lovely quiet spot suitable for all types of guests. We were able to take the dog aswell which was brilliant. Its surrounded by mountains, lovely walks and Ardgroom is a lovely little village with a great pub that serves great food. Ardgroom is near a lot of places so its a good base for touring. We had good weather whilst there and that just added to the charm! Great value for money, great clean accomodation and overall an enjoyable experience.

We were there in August. The houses are dated, need a good cleaning and were very basic for the cost. The floors needed cleaned, the mat in the living room was filthy, there was an old used barbecue left, a full ashtray and splintered picnic benches. The cost of 6euro per day is ridiculous given that most people are out sightseeing all day. Just a way to extort more money. It's extra also for wifi which is a standard expectation now. The grass had not seen a lawn mower in weeks and the whole place had a neglected look. The hot tub was not clean, nor filled so that was falsely advertised.
On two occasions in the week, there was loud partying well beyond 3oclock in the morning in the house next door which kept the children wide awake.
There was one toilet roll left between 3 toilets, two towels between 4 people and not even washing up liquid or soap in the toilets. We have stayed in many self catering homes throughout Europe and this was by far and away the least equipped with the least provided for the cost. Could do so much better and expect more from Dream Ireland properties.

Spacious, well equipped, good value, one side of the houses open up onto gardens and enclosed car parking area making it pretty suitable for kids, spa not running when we were there but this Beara, you're here for the ruggedness of the place, nice village with homely feel, friendly pub up the road, shop on the corner, bigger supermarket 15 mins away, decent amount of activities on the peninsula, friendly owners

We stayed here for 3 nights mid sept. The area itself is gorgeous and scenery is amazing! The house was immaculately kept, with everything you could possibly need. They even provided bikes which came in very handy in taking in the fabulous views. The house was extremely spacious and although there were only two of us you could easily accommodate another 4 people and still have plenty of room! We would definitely recommend this area as the people are so friendly, the views are some of the best I've seen in this country and the fresh seafood on offer is unrivalled:-)

We stayed here for the second year in a row, and then moved onwards to stay in another location in newer holiday homes. Once we moved we realised how basic Ardgroom holiday homes are. There are little things that bother you. The picnic bench outside are weathered and dated and my children constantly got splinters. The living area is not very comfortable to sit in at night and the beds are very basic and not overly comfortable. The sheets are also not overly nice. You can see the houses were decorated with basic furniture and while the kitchens are well equipped and everything works fine, we think it is in need to an upgrade to make them worth the almost 560 Euro a week they cost us.
The people looking after the houses were very nice to deal with and friendly. And the Ring of Beara has some beautiful scenery but it lacks the beaches that are common in the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula. That's not a criticism really but it is always good to have safe beaches to use. We didn't think Allihies was a great swimming beach as it is man made and quite steep.
On the second house we stayed in we were charged for electricity based on actual usage and despite using the tumble dryer and washing machine it only cost us 12 Euro. In Ardgroom there is a flat fee of 6 Euro a day. It may not seem like much but there's no reason it should be 30 Euro more expensive.
So in summary it's basic accommodation but not the best out there and there's not much in Ardgroom to keep you busy,

Great trip, it was our brief 3 day family visit to Beara, Ardgroom and the surroundings which was very memorable, with tourists being sparse made the peninsula visit even more special.
The accommodation was excellent, clean and very well maintained, thanks to Noraleene and the gang at the petrol station/coffee shop/convenient store/life savers for a very enjoyable and restful visit. Merci...the guilfoyles!

Everywhere you turn in the area there is a breathtaking view, every direction you go in you'll find a magical walk. The house was spotless, everything was so comfy and it had everything you need and Ardgroom village is right there for anything else.

Was very disappointed in this holiday at Ardgroom. Certainly shouldnt b rated 4 star. While the house was ok there was very little to do around the area without travelling long distances. In wet weather forget about sitting in watching a film... The tv was tiny and had subtitles and no working remote control. The tv in the bedroom didnt work either and the communal bins outside wete overflowing with nowhere to dispose of rubbish. Safe to say we wont b returning. First holiday in Ireland we ever had a complaint. So disappointing
