Nice-ish, clean, wholesome. But disappointing especially in retrospect because we stayed in much better places later on. The food was so-so, the rooms just about passable. Our guide Jobi was friendly and keen to help with information but he's clearly a bit of a novice.

After our first day of self drive driving on the gravel roads with the long final leg along the access road ( love the signage along the way) it was lovely to reach Zebra River Lodge & be welcomed with a refreshing drink.
We are planning a trip to Namibia in Feb 2017. We've been in the past at this time of year, and know that it can be hot. Are ZRL rooms air conditioned? Did you find it hot at night?

Yes it is very hot that time of the year and we do not have air conditioning but will have fans by then though. We cannot have air conditioning as we do not have regular electricity only solar power
