Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Going to or coming from Rosslare ferry this guest is perfectly located for a nights rest before or after your crossing.

Ashley is situated in a quiet and rural location and short walk from the local hostelry. I’d recommendation visit.

Margaret is a hospitable hostess and cooked a superb and beautifully presented full Irish breakfast.

Our room was clean and had a TV, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities with extra bedding if required. There were also books on the shelf and chocolate biscuits to enjoy with your cup of tea.

The bathroom not only had towels but face wipes, tissues, body lotion, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Absolutely spot on for a transit stay.

Our bed was very comfortable and it is located in a very quiet spot, so a very peaceful and restful nights sleep.

All in all €68 for a nights stay including breakfast was in our view great value for money.

All COVID precautions in place. A very pleasant host, good room and a good breakfast.
It only takes a few minutes to get to the port at Rosslare and with Margaret able to cater for the early ferry passengers, Ashley Lodge is a good place to stay.

Perfect ! The room was comfy and spotlessly clean. Our cooked breakfast had cafetière coffee , was served and eaten in time for us to get the 7.30 am ferry. It was easy to find and checkin was flexible and easy. The room was very quiet and the stay could not have been better.

Margaret made us feel so welcome and comfortable, covid safety adherence excellent. Irish breakfast with home made bread wonderful.
Catered for my gluten free diet. Very near all amenities including camping site, pub, Carne beach, church, Chinese take away all within walking distance. Will definitely stay there again. Great value for money.

Perfect stop for us the night before our return ferry after 2 weeks in the motorhome traveling Ireland and visiting the rellys.

Location for ferry Amazing. House, grounds and every aspect inside is Immaculate. This is a perfect reflexion of the host Margaret. Margaret has standards and boy can you see it in every aspect. Brekkie was on point and in good time to meet the early ferry no bother.

This is now our standard go to stop before the early return ferry.

Thanks Margaret. We truly appreciated your obvious hard work in keeping this B&B bungalow to such high standards. Also for the easy no nonsense business like experience you you made our stay as guests.

See you again soon.

The property has plenty of parking. We were in a decent sized room with a good shower however the bed was a little hard for my liking. The room was clean but just a little dusty in places. There is tea/ coffee/water and chocolate bars provided in the room.

Margaret cooked a lovely breakfast and there is a pub/restaurant and Chinese takeaway within a few minutes walk for dinner if required.

A brilliant choice for a stay in SE Co. Wexford. Clean, warm, well looked after and a wonderful full breakfast selection included. Sheets always clean and crisp. Been here twice for two weeks each time. This is changing to shorter bookings like that of most of the other B&Bs in the immediate area, which is a little sad. Check with the bandbireland system to see where this stands. A most enjoyable time with Margaret and Martin.

Check in was quick and easy. Bed was quite comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Margaret gave us the option of time for breakfast as well she had numerous choices to serve you - and the food was lovely. We would recommend a stay here for sure.

Margaret runs a fantastic B&B. The rooms are good and the breakfast is excellent. Always plenty of parking available. We were probably unusual in that we stayed for 12 nights and we are already going back for more.
